My "goal" is to re-watch all of Charlie Chaplin's Keystone shorts. I've re-watched the first three so far and enjoyed them. Rough slapstick, which I like.
I am considering a TV related goal of acquiring at least one DVD of programming for each historical ITV franchise (or as many of them as possible, since some are not possible). So far I have ATV, Granada, Thames, London Weekend Television, Yorkshire, ABC Weekend Television, and HTV. That still leaves several others.
Do you have any current film (or TV) viewing goals?
EDIT: I also plan to eventually watch every 1950s Australian feature film. I've already watched most of them as far as I know.

I'm continuing my 25th anniversary viewing of most of the Fourth Season of MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 I've always wanted to watch a series on its anniversary, maybe watching each episode on the anniversary of its original airdate. I do plan to watch various 1949 TV episodes in 2019....imagine, a 70-year-old TV episode!

Goals set in the 1970s -
1. To see every Best Picture winner - I've got 4 or 5 of the very early ones left to go. 2. To see every Brando film - I've got 2 of his latter films yet to see.
I no longer actively pursue these goals but if the opportunity arises....
Since my retirement I have sought out and seen for the first time a lot of movies, mainly -
1. The westerns of Anthony Mann 2. The westerns of Budd Boetticher 3. Heaps of Films Noir I had missed through the years - dozens of new favourites headlined by Out of The Past, The Killers and The Asphalt Jungle.

Wesley Crusher I once looked it up and it seems over 1000 feature films are produced worldwide each year, and this has been the case for a long time. Just imagine how many of them are laying in film vaults being unseen!

Starting in 2018, my goal is to watch at least one movie I've never seen before every week.

"Try not to miss any of the newer, big budget, Hollywood comedy, action, adventure, SciFi, thriller, horror, animation/family etc. films," since that's the sort of stuff I like most.

I enjoy the early widescreen formats, so that's what I typically "focus" on. I've been watching a lot of early Cinemascope and Vista Vision releases whenever the opportunity arises. My problem is I like to buy them in the best possible format (typically blu ray) so that is a limiting factor.

One that I enjoyed is The Big Trail (1930).

I'm currently watching the new release of Night People with Gregory Peck. Great film.

Woody Allen - hoping to see everything from Annie Hall onward, most save a few of the more recent titles will be re-watches. Currently at Manhattan Murder Mystery. Have already seen the 5 early comedies also, but didn't feel like revisiting them at this time.
Yasujiro Ozu - hoping to see as much as I can get a hold of. A lot of the later titles will be re-watches. Currently at Dragnet Girl.
Also working on much larger, more long term goal of seeing as much Japanese cinema as I can. Currently at around 200 titles.

1. The westerns of Anthony Mann 2. The westerns of Budd Boetticher These are on my watch list too. Have seen a couple of the Mann's previously. I recall Man of the West being particularly impressive.

I'm still trying for one of those IMDb Top 250 badges by watching the highest rated movies on the sight, so far I have yet to get there. Also, at the beginning if summer I was going to watch all the Elvis Presley movies I haven't seen, plus the Rathbone Sherlock Holmes series and more of the Charlie Chan series, but haven't seen one Elvis movie yet, and Holmes and Chan have not graced my screen lately. I'll get there, just been busy this summer.
