A lot of people on IMDb probably wanted my head on a pike for the suggestion, but I still want to see an episode where that fat defense attorney Buchanan's teenaged daughter is a victim of sexual assault. People got SO offended 'it's okay for anybody else to be a rape victim on the show but defense attorneys and their families should NEVER be put through that'. Why? This is a show about sex crimes, there's a victim every week, somebody IS going to be a victim, it's been children, parents, elderly, teachers, cops, DA assistants, so why should the defense attorneys be held to a more protective standard than the rest of the world? And wouldn't that be a perfect moment on the show when they arrest the guy and he wants to HIRE Buchanan to defend him and says 'we're ALL innocent, right? She asked for it and now she's lying just like all the rest, you know they do'. THAT would be the moment to see, along with him having to explain to his daughter how it's no different than what he's done to countless other daughters in the name of business, it's never personal, your life and credibility are destroyed on stand but it's not personal, it's just doing your job.

Yes he is, it would be nice if for once there was an episode where we got to see proof he's actually human.

I'm waiting on a Stabler return/cameo/something. He's the man.

Jesus, you're still going on about this? Lmao, while I agree it would be an...interesting dynamic to see how he'd handle seeing someone treat HIS kid like a whore, it's probably never going to happen. They'd spend entirely too much time with Benson and Rollins telling her she'll be fine, it will get better.

Technically I was 'still going on about this' back in February, but since we're a somewhat different group now I wanted to see if anybody else had any opinions about it. First they'd have to get around Buchanan, who very likely wouldn't want them anywhere near his daughter when he knows the history they have in court.
