Hi all, with Moreau passing away today,I want to pay tribute by asking what your favourite films of hers are? My top 2: Elevator to the Gallows: Being the face that launched 1000 films to the New Wave,Moreau got the Femme Fatale of Film Noir to cross paths with the outsiders of the FNW. The Bride Wore Black: Reuniting with New Waver Truffaut,Moreau gives this episodic revenge tale a deliciously macabre bite. Thanks.

Jules and Jim The Bride Wore Black I also remember her performances in THE TRAIN and THE VICTIMS. I wish I had seen DIARY OF A CHAMBERMAID, ELEVATOR TO THE GALLOWS, and LA NOTTE. What a talent she was. Hi second what you say about her being such a talent Spider. Looking at her credits, one of the most impressive things about Moreau is how she took projects on with new talent, from the New Wavers to Ilmar Raag and Besson. I was not aware that she had worked with Buñuel until you mentioned Chambermaid, and that looking round,I've found it with Eng Subs: www.dailymotion.com/video/x2cad1f

Hi there MDF ! what a nice surprise, great to see you here... Jeanne Moreau had such a captivating screen presence and gave so many memorable performances in so many great films... For our tribute this week tonight we are going to re-watch two very diverse films & roles both with outstanding lead performances from Moreau. Eva (1962) Directed by Joseph Losey , Moreau is a knockout as sultry Eva the manipulative femme fatale in this dark erotic thriller. Apparently was Losey's favourite film based, on a novel from James Hadley Chase, supported with Stanlet Baker as the male lead , jazz score by Michel Legrand and exceptional cinematography that captures the hard edge beauty and mood shades of Eva... And for a bit of light hearted revolutionary fun Viva Maria! (1965) Jeanne Moreau and Brigitte Bardot are perfectly matched partners, sumptuous costumes, music and colour a whimsical treat of the most engaging kind...
