Warren Moon and George Mikan.
The difference in importance would be that we would be talking about past black quarterbacks but present (and, seemingly, future) white centers. Hell, centers as a whole are a dying breed, at least in the classical sense.

I'm too lazy to compare stats - but McNabb - like 5 or so NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl Appearance. Who's George Mikan? Are you talking about Gheorge Muerseson (spelling?) - the 7'11 3/4 Center for the Bullets years back? I get Walton was a bit of a disappointment in the NBA do to injury issues - so I'm being a little dirty here and including his NCAA history at UCLA

They won something like six NBA championships. I chose Moon because he preceded McNabb and was both in the age when black quarterbacks were thought to not have the tools (and thus with him starting in the Canadian Football League) and then became a guy who made organizations rethink black quarterbacks. Do you think McNabb makes it to the Hall of Fame? It sounds like voters are kind of mixed on him. Moon is obviously in - - but in terms of NFL team success, McNabb's was certainly greater.

I don't think McNabb gets in. Personally I love him and think he's the greatest QB in Eagles history. A majority of Philly hates him. He's very passive aggressive. Similar personality of LeBron James. He just wasn't Philly. He comes across as a phony a lot in the media and on TV. He did major in communications at Syracuse. I just remember watching the Eagles all of those years and it was fantastic. They'd win the division practically every year and make a deep run into the playoffs. What more do you want as a fan other than a Super Bowl? Miss the Reid / McNabb years tremendously. Throw Dawkins, Westbrook in there - watching a Birds game was an event you centered your week on. Minneapolis Lakers, eh? This seems rather fascinating to me and I consider myself a hoops fan. I'm going to have to look them up.

Mikan only played 1 year with the 24 second clock and he was washed up then. He walked up the court his whole career.

(I was a little fry). I remember, the weirdest thing. I had a friend (He was older, but I lived in apartments, and you became friends with anyone you could, he was a cool dude) and when we saw we went up 31-3, we were like, we got this. We went to play, before we left, his dad said something I remember to this day. "Anyone can make a come back any given sunday." We laughed it off, went to play. SO I go to my house a few hours later and my dad looks shellshocked. Im like,"what happened." "Houston lost." WE LOST!? NO fn excuse, none. Yea, you got the game right, my dad and his friend would call each other after every game, after that playoff sunday, they never called each other about football again. Houston went to Tennessee a few years later and we finally got the Texans a few years later. Tip, you ever go to Houston, dont discuss that game. Them be fightin words!

I was a little kid too. Wasn't close to my dad - but may have been one of the only times we 'bonded'. I just remember dicking over my buddies that went to the movies to watch the playoffs. I was glued in front the TV and my dad on the sofa and it's quite possibly the most memorable game I saw as a little kid growing up. Not like I was an Oilers or Bills fan - but you couldn't help towards the end to root for them to pull it off (sorry - believe me being a Philly fan I know what it's like to have your heart broken - but yes that might be the worst heart breaker in team sports history)

NE making that super bowl comeback, and it went to OT (First time in SBowl history) was amazing to watch. I get if youre a fan of neither, rooting for the Bills to pull it off. Moon, look at the guys face, he looked to be in panic mode even when he was still up. Bills slowly chipped away. I think was hurt was it wasnt Jim Kelly, he Kelly can do that. Montana/Elway/Brady/Rodgers/Favre, they can do it. We are talking about the backup. Having fn Frank do it was even more embarrassing. Biggest comeback in NFL history. Only + I guess is the Tennessee miracle (Revenge on the Bills). We didnt have a team, and I was still slightly rooting for the Titans, we didnt have one yet. No I get why you rooted for the Bills when you have no investment, but I was and will always be a Houston fan (I wont lie, I do like seeing the Titans do well, just as long as they go 0-2 against us, they can go 12-2 or 11-3 against everyone else! ) No that game imho is a big reason why Oilers left Houston. I know some might not buy it, but a lot of fans after that game, were done. Remember, we were a franchise that never even gotten to a super bowl (They go to fn Tennessee and go to one a couple years later! 1 yard short!) Man, that game is still painful. Also, on a random note, I remember the NE V Philly Sbowl and literally yelling at McNabb "MOVE YOUR FN @$$!" To this day IDK wtf he was doing taking his sweet @$$ time.

To this day IDK wtf he was doing taking his sweet @$$ time. yeah - people bash McNabb for choking - or shall I say throwing up in the huddle. and i agree where's the sense of urgency. reid was bashed in philly for years for wasting time out and having no clock management skills whatsoever. and just watching/reading/listening from afar - even though i think he's a great coach - it sounds like he's had the same problem in KC. no clock management skills i think the whole Tri State area (i.e. Philly, Jersey, De) was throwing beer cans at the TV at the time screaming at the top of their lungs - MOVE! i get being 'calm cool and collective' - but ummmmmmmm...........well - this ummm...well - like you it's painful to talk about. i do still have great memories from those teams. you seem to be a hardcore houston fan like im a hardcore philly fan but can appreciate when your team blows and you're not a homer. i'm intrigued with Paul going down there. i just don't know how that's going to work with Harden. more intrigued with Melo going down there. funny thing. I can't stand Melo and think he's one of the most overrated players in NBA History - but what if.....now hear me out.....just what if - he changed. and he was willing to be 3rd banana. 2 great ball handlers in Paul and Harden and Harden can light it up - but you've also got another 'scorer' in 'Melo who has changed his ways (yes i know - a leopard never changes his stripes). Im trying here though. I don't dislike Houston and would love for some epic wars with GS.

In the NE Vs Philly SBowl I was rooting for the Eagles, just because NE had 2 titles and I wanted some joy spread around. That last possession, Im a Houston fan and I was like,"wtf is he doing." This is the "big" game you gotta hustle. You need points and you need them asap. I cant imagine how loud Philly was. I could see some hair being pulled out that day. Also, I got to admit, TO showed up that day. Im almost certain he had 100+ receiving yards. I really was hoping Philly saw a title. :/ Im curious about CP3 too. Ill be real, it's still GSW and we are just living in it. Now, with the Kyrie drama, I think the 76ers have an amazing shot to make it at least to the 2nd round. What is the east? I cant see Cavs keeping Kyrie. He is burning every bridge he can. Boston, ok, they gained Gordon H. but lose Avery!? I dont get that tbh. I liked the team a little bit with Gordon/Avery/Thomas, now no Avery, they might actually be worse. Also them passing on a talent like Josh and giving the Suns an early XMas gift..wtf!? Toronto and Wizards are just.."there." Theyll make the playoffs, but I havent seen them get better. Cavs did sign Rose, but he isnt the man he was. I am curious what the Cavs do get for Kyrie. I cant see a prospects for Kyrie deal, theyre gonna want a star. At least a Dragic or Melo or something of that nature. 76ers are fn young and talented, Ill be baffled if you guys miss the playoffs. Hawks have gotten worse. Indiana is jack now with no George. Chicago lost Butler and Rondo, idk wtf they do. I do like what Miami is doing. I see it as: Cavs/Celts/Raptors/Wizards/76ers/Heat/Bucks I def see those 7...maybe Det hits the 8th? Maybe Chi? I dont like the Hawks/Indiana to make it at all. I think you guys replace the Hawks, literal switch. (I really see 4th-5th seed for the '6ers). I hope good things for you guys, I think youre one of the better teams in the east brother.

'dirty' beyond belief. Universities should hold MBA classes on it. you strip a team down to bare bones and collect assets. then when you have those assets you trade them for more assets. for years. hinkie was upfront with the fanbase. team was going to suck for years. you swap short term success for a long term vision - not of just making the playoffs but becoming dominant. i get all those that still laugh. you haven't lived and followed this. they held Simmons an Embiid out when they could have come back. Dirty. Unethical. I love it. They got Fultz. Those that say what have these guys done? They've done squat. But they're going to show the NBA who is the next dominant team for the decade come next year. link: Dr. Evil - The Process
