Hopefully Pfeiffer sticks around for a while then, at least. I hope so. I'm curious what they do with her. I could see them both dying to complete the passing of the torch story- leaving the "new" Ant Man and Wasp to carry on their respective mantles. Hard to say though. Hopefully they at least wait 'til the third one for Pfeiffer.

The first one was boring. Hope Ant-Man 2 will have more action.

More Evangeline Lilly and adding Michelle Pfeiffer definitely will not hurt my eyes.

Ant Man 1 sent a low bar? Yeah, it kind of did, didn't it? I'm sort of naively optimistic about the sequel because I really like the character and think that he can shine if done right. The first movie IMO embraced the wrong genre: Yes, it was a pseudo heist movie but more so it had all the style and tropes of a mainstream comedy. Big mistake. Don't get me wrong, Ant Man should have lots of humor but the tone, cinematography and substance of the movie was very much like that of your typical Adam McKay comedy. That's why it felt like such a step down from most MCU entries. If you ask me they should strive for an action-adventure movie with a strong sci fi B movie feel. You'd still have the comedy but the movie itself could be something more memorable and unique.

Cons: More Evangeline Lilly. I didn't care for her character at all so I'm not exactly excited for her to be given a more prominent part becoming Wasp.

Ant-Man was one of the most boring films in the MCU for that very reason. Every line in it was either a cliche or a bad joke. Nevermind that it failed to actually be the "Heist Movie" it said it was. Considering it has the same creative team, I can't be optimistic about it.

I liked Ant-Man, but it could have been so much more, this is where I think Ant-Man and the Wasp can improve upon the first film

I mean, this creative team probably isn't striving for or capable of much better. But my admiration for the character and his potential makes me hope, despite my better judgement.

Absolutely! I was hoping for Sharon Stone, but Michelle is a great choice too. Speaking of Sharon Stone, didn't she try to hint that she was talking to Marvel about a role like a year and a half ago? What ever happened there? I mean nothing apparently, but did anyone ever shed more light onto what she was talking about?

We will probably never know for sure but she may have been in talks with Marvel at the time and for whatever reason they went with Phiefer instead.

I figured she was full of crap or didn't understand the material. Either way it would still be fun to find a role for her somewhere.
