For those who grew up in the 80's watching the cartoons, collecting the toys & hated the awful live version movie....
I hope someday we will see a new movie of Masters of the Universe with the characters we loved back in the day...

The movie is still a guilty pleasure I'll admit.

I own it too, but man they could have used more of our favorite characters like, orko, merman, stratos, ram-man & man-E-Faces and set it on planet Eternia...

The actress from 'Manifest' SHOULD play Evil-Lyn IF a REHASH/RETREAD is EVER actually made.

When you picture in your mind a live action film version of a favorite cartoon series of yours from the past, such as this one, do you picture the designs of the sets, vehicles, characters and world to be basically identical to the way the cartoon designs were ? I kind of think that's the only way to go in these situations.

Great movie, own it, don't mind alleged pedo directed. Dolph and Frank are prefect.

I didn't like it in 1987 because it was so different from the cartoon but it grew on me, especially when compared to modern ones like Transformers 2007 which should have took some advice from it on how to do a good sci-fi fish out of water story. It's a bit wonky and cheap (and oddly, no diversity--that entire town was white!). But it made up for it--and emulating Wizard of Oz/Back to the Future was rather clever since it had Cox from Family Ties and James Tolkan from BTTF!
I think Dolph should have been dubbed. But obviously the real star is Frank Langella. Great performance.
The audio commentary for this film with the director is really boring.
