Here's an app for my fellow book lovers out there. If you're like me and you have a lot of books (I have over 3000) and need help cataloging them, this is a handy app. You can look up books by ISBN # or enter them manually, sort by author or title, and can export to MS Excel format. When it finds a book it usually already has the publishing company, the page count, sometimes even a short description. One thing to note: it's supposed to be able to scan bar codes and pull up the ISBN, but for some reason that doesn't work for me. It pulls up the bar code # or whatever which is different from the actual ISBN, so returns an "unable to find ISBN" (whatever it says) message. I've tested it on a few dozen books and exporting to an Excel spreadsheet, and so far everything looks great. Can't wait to get all of mine sorted again (lost track a while back) because this way when I go book hunting and buy a 100 at a time I can make sure right on my phone I don't already have some obscure sci fi novel. I am working on my 2nd book. I am assuming you meant as in a book you are writing, and not one you're adding to the app I posted about, lol. Hope it all works out for you. I've published several books myself, so I know that satisfaction of finally dotting that last period and getting everything off to print. It's a really good feeling. Like I've always told people, I honestly don't care if I wrote a book and it sold say, three copies. That's three people who got to share in a story that otherwise would have just been stuck in my head and prob died with me. Get your words out there and let someone else enjoy them. If it's in your heart and always on your mind, get it out there.
