Ok I didn't grow up with the original show. I'm confused by the premise and how this show is done. Are the acts supposed to be bad and then if they get progressively worse they gong the acts? Also why is Mike Myers disgusing himself? We know it's him under all that make up. Also he's the only one doing it. I could understand if the judges were disguised as well but Mike is the only one doing it. What's the point behind it? It adds absolutely nothing.

The ones on the original series were bad too. The whole show is supposed to mock other talent or variety based shows. As for why Myers is in disguise, I really think there is no true reason. Part of me thinks he would probably get bored hosting the show as himself, so he only agreed to do it if he could play a character. Also, part of the joke of the show is that it's some big great competition when it truly isn't. I think Myers is just contributing to this joke by playing a "legendary" British comedian. As for the show itself, I'll admit I'm enjoying it. I initially only tuned in to see Myers, but I'm growing to like the show itself. I also think they've done a good job with the judges. The show is obviously nothing smart, but it's a decent mindless hour of TV.
