No, it wasn't.
You have a really weird obsession for tentacles, don't you? Perhaps you should talk to a psychiatrist... Also, you do understand that a series works differently than a film, right? The speed of action in a film is faster than it is in a series. In a series, they get more time to build things up.

Is anyone here watching either of these two shows? I am, and I'm disappointed with both. The Strain just doesn't live up to the potential it had, and the boy is even more nerve-grating than Carl was in the first couple of seasons of TWD. Every time he's on screen I keep hoping (in vain), that someone would wipe the damn smirk from his face. The Mist should never have been made. I was excited about it at first, since I loved the film, but it should be re-named 'soap opera in The Mist', it's so darn boring. Anyone have any thoughts about either?
I'm weary about 'The Mist', mostly because it just does not seem like a story that can work as a series. It is all about human behaviour in a situation that is beyond recognition, but how long can they drag that out?
I disliked the movie (mostly because of the ending, which I felt rushed and absurd), so I'm going to give the show a miss.
I was wondering about the Strain, was going to watch it. I'll probably still will watch it, but with low expectations, I guess.
You're right, it doesn't work as a series. As I mentioned, it's more like 'soap-opera in The Mist' than anything else. I know it's about how humans can turn on each other in drastic situations, but dragging it out makes it less suspenseful, not more.

I know it's about how humans can turn on each other in drastic situations, but dragging it out makes it less suspenseful, not more. Bullshit! It works perfectly fine as a series, despite a few flaws and mistakes that are easy to forgive. What you mentioned is irrelevant as it is not like a soap opera at all. You obviously do not know even half as much as you claim about how humans can turn on each other in drastic situations since nothing is being "dragged out" and contrary to what you pretend, it does make the show more suspenseful. That's your opinion and you are entitled to it, as am I to mine.

I finished Season 2 of The Strain on TV a while back (we're behind with it where I am), and I really do wish the character of Zach would be eaten by a strigoi ASAP - though I realise that will probably never happen (sadly). I was really ticked off with what happened regarding Nora's character in the Season 2 final. I mainly like Setrakian, Fet and Dutch, I tolerate Eph, Eichorst is an interesting villain and I've found that I'm able to skip Gus's scenes and not feel like I've missed anything important (sorry, his storyline just bores me). I haven't watched The Mist. All I know about it is that Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) from Vikings is in it. If you only just finished season 2 I would advise not watching the other seasons. Zach will blow up the world just to get at his dad, who keeps protecting him. Zach and his dad need to get killed off if they want season 5 to be any good. - okay, I know that won't happen. My favourite characters are Gus (only because he could and should have a good story, but honestly, he is side-lined so much that it won't happen), Fet, Dutch (who I didn't like at first but do now because the others are so much worse), and Eichorst, as you said. Oh but if you do watch season 3 you are in for a treat because the character everyone was waiting for finally makes an appearance (I think it's in season 3 anyway). Though him, as with anyone with potential, they are put aside for Eph and his damn son. Yeah, she's in it and not doing well. I never thought she could act, in Vikings, and it's the same in The Mist. This is The Strain's final season. They announced it before filming this season, so there should be some kind of wrap up.

I kept hoping each season would be better than the one before it, but that never happened. I just hope the kid dies.

Last season of The Strain Fet and Dutch were together, then in this season he has a new love interest, a character we know nothing about. Did I miss something?

She hooked up with her ex/Nikki & moved out. Which made Fet sad, then pissed off. Eventually Nikki wanted to leave & she did with her mother. Dutch then went & stayed with Ephram. Her & Fet were never quite the same. Though they both acted like they didn't care, we all know they do, even as friends. But they haven't had all that much time together in scenes(last season that is). When & how Fet met up with the vampire...er...Charlotte they never explain.

Thanks, but I do remember her and Nikki etc. I just thought they were still close, then seeing him with Charlotte took me aback. So Charlotte is a vampire? I didn't know that.

Rhona Mitra was the main vampire in Underworld Rise of the Lycans. So I keep expecting to her to surprise Fet

Just seen the first episode of The Mist, and it is more than enough to conclude this is nothing but dreadful, dreadful garbage. A SJW fart in a bag that has nothing whatsoever to do with Stephen King's work. Stay far, far away from this crap.

While the show is no masterpiece and could use some improvement, it is quite far from dreadful garbage or crap. Quite far. No one can conclude anything after only one episode
