Seemingly. OR This was how much he was supposed to be in it to begin with.
Bottom line: the Stark connection was strong in this movie with Tony plus his aide mentoring SM. All was just a classic case of false adverising and artificial boosting with many film posters promoting IM as much or even bigger than SM. When you then saw the movie you realized, oh, he is barely in and has no real role to play.
I agree, and I blame Sony for the crappy advertising. But then again Sony's been a crappy movie studio for the last few years.

Wonder Woman and Gal Gadot are the most amazing part of the DCEU so far. I hope WB doesn't think that means they should put her into a bunch of other character's films like they did with RDJ and Iron Man. Like I understand that Civil War is the kind of story that needed everybody, and so is Flashpoint, but The Flash hasn't had his time to shine on his own in the DCEU yet. Putting Wonder Woman in the first Flash solo movie is like putting Iron Man in the first MCU Spider-Man movie. I don't want the focus on the Flash taken away or overshadowed. They are leveraging the character's fame to help other franchises. That is no different than what they have been doing in the comics and it works. Furthermore, when you talk about "Flashpoint" you are talking about an alternate timeline story that included members of the Justice League (although alternate versions of the characters). Expect to see other Justice League characters in the film, not just only Wonder Woman. They only mentioned her name because of her current popularity and in an attempt to get her fans interested in the Flash franchise.

Iron Man was in 2 movies outside his own and Avengers movies. And one of them he was a big part of the source story. The other was a continuation from that movie. So which bunch of characters films' are you talking about?

Actually, if anyone gets that treatment, it'll probably end up being Batman. Ben Affleck's the highest-profile actor of the cast, and while his Batman may not have been universally liked as a character, his portrayal of that character was one of the few things universally praised about BvS. Also, if history is anything to go off of, Batman is easily the most popular of the DC superheroes, so I think there'd be more temptation to have him keep popping up all over in future DCEU flicks.
Ultimately, what I think will happen is that Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman will end up becoming the "anchors" of the DCEU, like how Iron Man and Captain America have anchored the MCU. Batman will be the brains of the team and be the one bankrolling and supplying them, while Wonder Woman will be the leader on the battlefield and will embody the team's heart and soul.

They already did do that with Batman, since he appeared in Suicide Squad and had the brief mention in Wonder Woman.
It's a little hypocritical. I mean, Justice League makes it look like Bruce is a Mentor figure to Flash.
Bruce can Mentor Flash, but Iron Man can't mentor Spider-Man?

I personally don't want to see the success of WW overshadow Justice League by making the character the main focus of the film. I'm hoping it will focus on the other characters and their development and not turn into the WW show.

Yeah, I'm thinking they realized how much they screwed up with Superman and is going to push him back. Wonder Woman is going to take his place because of her new found popularity. But at the same time I don't think they will push Batman because they have Affleck. Too much in the media about him maybe not returning.
