I never really got into the original show, I know it's a classic, my mom's seen every episode, I like the 80s version of it...but why did they swap out Paul Drake Jr. for Melansky?

Oh, well, the original version is a favorite of mine, but de gustibus.
Still, I did like one of the 80s TV movies--The Case of the Glass Coffin, I think it was called. The acting's not great, but I remember thinking the plotting was clever.

I think I may have seen that one but I'm not sure. Oh well, I got my mom the entire movie collection on DVD and we're working our way through them, it's bound to come up soon.
