Just saw it and it's average. Kept waiting for a twist that never happens. Keaton's entertaining but he's been way better, O'Brien has talent, super-physical too but I think he's a guy that needs a good script, don't think he can elevate bad to average material. Action was hit and miss. CGI bad at the climax. Story is just plain derivative and more boring than eventful. Can't recommend a theater watch, honestly, but the standard "could do much worse" is applicable. ... any thematic intrigue? Without spoilers, does the film have anything to say in terms of geopolitics, or is it just standard (and overblown) action stuff? I am considering seeing the film on Thursday before it leaves. Standard action stuff. Apparently the other Mitch Rapp novels have more political intrigue and geopolitics in this one? This one is pretty much an origins story.

The opening scene with Mitch on the beach with his girlfriend was intense.

The opening scene with Mitch on the beach with his girlfriend was intense. Yeah, I thought so, too.
