Pretty interested in this movie but super disappointed the red band trailer seemed to give away a ton of details, like damn near every trailer. But I didn't read the book so maybe they haven't given away that much.
Anyone else think this could be good?

It doesn't seem terrible but I can't help but think of it as "Jason Bourne Jr."

It doesn't seem terrible but I can't help but think of it as "Jason Bourne Jr." Seems like a legitimate comparison. Don't think it'll share those movies' cinematography, though (and that is a good thing). Think I'm going to watch for Keaton first. He's been on relative fire since 2014.

I'm all about this film. Keaton can do no wrong in my book and the premise sounds interesting enough. The director is pretty underrated(I am a fan of both Kill the Messenger & 12 Holding)

It looks good. If the action can hold up and the premise seems believable enough, it should live up to expectations.

Too bad, the protagonist is a milkfaced pretty boy. Cant be taken serious. Why cant they cast a guy, with a more manlier face.

Seems like this is pretty average. Currently at 39% on Rotten Tomatoes. Will likely still watch tomorrow tho.

Reviews are piling in and its mixed.
Some reviewers are calling this film too "macho" (one critic called it "repulsively macho" ) . lol I am all about seeing this after I see Mother! Gotta support Michael Keaton

Just saw it and it's average. Kept waiting for a twist that never happens.
Keaton's entertaining but he's been way better, O'Brien has talent, super-physical too but I think he's a guy that needs a good script, don't think he can elevate bad to average material.
Action was hit and miss. CGI bad at the climax. Story is just plain derivative and more boring than eventful.
Can't recommend a theater watch, honestly, but the standard "could do much worse" is applicable.

Although Rotten Tomatoes gives it 33%, the actual viewers give it 69%.
I'm going to see it in the next couple of days.

Better than the critics are saying imo . Dylan O Brien is kinda a dweeby looking twerp so I didn't really buy him being the ultimate killing machine but whatever I just rolled with it. Also thought Ghost's (played by Taylor Kitsch) motives were sorta laughable / eye rolling but again whatever, I just rolled with it. Keaton is aces yet again . Overall, I thought this was entertaining enough and action packed. 7/10

Without spoilers, does the film have anything to say in terms of geopolitics, or is it just standard (and overblown) action stuff? I am considering seeing the film on Thursday before it leaves.
