Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Haruki Murakami
Kurt Vonnegut Bernard Cornwell John Irving Harlan Coben (he always writes the same book, and it's not great prose, but damn it if it ain't entertaining!)
I used to like Jules Verne a lot, but I haven't read any of his books in decades. Same with Agatha Christie.

Ray Bradbury was the writer who really turned me on to reading. Our English teacher in high school had us read the Martian Chronicles and, after reading it, I remember looking for everything he had written. If I had to pick only one writer's complete works to read forever it would be his. He has written several books I think are masterpieces such as The Martian Chronicles, The Illustrated Man, Fahrenheit 451
