There was an acacia (probably golden wattle) forest nearby where I grew up, that exuded a sap which I liked to chew. link

I've been known to chew on a mint toothpick long enough to swallow it.

When I was a kid I used to like something we called "Indian gum" it was found the them stem of some plant, I have no idea what it was but there was plenty around and most of the kids liked to chew it.

Nasturtium blossoms have a little protrusion near the stem, that has a sweet, syrupy drop of something ( ) at the bottom. As kids we would bite those off, and chew them.

Birch twigs are good for brushing teeth. Pretty tasty.
The newer toothpaste flavors. Orange creme, cinnamon.

I used to eat wood sorrel when I was a kid. I called them "sour clovers."

Metal. Steel. I love drinking beverages from cups made out of steel. It imparts steel flavor. Works especially great with tea, water and beer.
