I only know about the movie Doubt from 2008 with Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Philip Seymour Hoffman

I'm not surprised. CBS canceled it after just a few episodes but they ran out the episodes that were already made over the summer. It had a great cast: Katherine Heigl, Elliot Gould and Laverne Cox. They never gave the show a chance.

Judging from the reviews not surprised, if it aint making advertising bucks then networks will just drop everything no matter how many episodes existed (like Time after Time which I like/d and has pretty good reviews and ratings but dropped after 5 episodes) Rewashing the same old tosh over and over again is just boring to most people, but anything a bit more cerebal confuses people. Yet other crap keeps getting renewed because its cheap to make

For a "main" network show to succeed, it needs HUGE ratings. Ratings that would be a "hit show" on a cable station will get cancelled on a network.

People dont even know about the show before they take it off. Very true. Network TV is very "Dog-Eat-Dog". That's why so many shows get a 2nd life on cable stations or Netflix. That does screw things up when you want to get the DVD boxsets.

Well I'm hoping someone will pick up Doubt, but I think Elliot Gould is already doing another show
