Just because something is more recent doesn't mean it is less dated. For example, I was recently watching some old game shows, and Super Password (1984-1989) is a lot more dated than the 1961-1967 version of "Password". Which got me thinking: among movies, are there any remakes that are more dated than the original? I'm certain there must be some examples of this.

This response is a bit of a cheat, but The Wiz (1978) has dated far more than The Wizard of Oz (1939).
And I also think the years have been less kind to The Mummy (1959) than to The Mummy (1932).

Most remakes I can think of are more dated than the originals, since they are remade to be more with-it.

The Terminator sequels look more dated than the original Terminator in my opinion - I know they aren't remakes but it didn't seem worth creating another thread for a similar theme. The Total Recall remake looks more drab and ordinary than the original.

That unnecessary Oldboy remake. It looked like a Miramax January dump from early 2000s.

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man has aged better than Mark Webb's. With Raimi's I feel as if it could still happen today, with Webb's, it's clearly set in the time it was made.
