Enjoy. Disclaimer: The usual. My thoughts: A very interesting POV is presented here; far more interesting than the one presented by the retarded progressive automatons who infest the media.

I'm kind of like the missionary played by Larry Gates in "The Sand Pebbles." Damn your flag. Damn all flags. It's too late in the world for flags. According to Cinemachinery, I should own up to the vehicular homicide of someone which happened hundreds of miles away from me because of a vote I cast about nine months ago. It has something to do with a dog whistle. I'm not so sure I should own up to that.

Can't watch the vid but I'm ok with Confederate flags in general. I can understand not wanting them hanging from our government buildings tho.

But didn't you just a few days ago state that anyone who voted for Hillary (or Obama) was culpable for all the deaths in Libya?

There's so much buffoonery in the world today that it gets hard to sort the irony from the true ignorance sometimes. For example I'm sure there's actually some people that take those chemtrail and Nibiru You-Tube videos seriously.

For example I'm sure there's actually some people that take those chemtrail and Nibiru You-Tube videos seriously. There are many who take them seriously, a lot more than you would prefer. They may not talk about it and subject themselves to ridicule from garbage-brained Internet shills, but they take it seriously.

The history was more complicated than that. SHEESH! But the point that I'm making is NOT complicated at all! The facts are the facts: the Confederate ENEMIES of the United States did in fact LOSE the civil war. That's the only historical fact that is particularly relevant in my post.

The "Stars and Bars" was never actually the flag of the Confederacy. It was the flag of the Army of Northern Virginia (Robert E Lee's command) and/or the flag of the Confederacy's navy (such as it was) - it's somewhere in between the two.
So all those states flying it claiming that it's in homage to their Southern heritage are flying the wrong flag. They should either fly the proper Confederacy flag or the historic version of their own state flag.
But (of course) most people don't give a shit about the truth and just want an easy version of history. And that's the flag that everyone has come to know.

The confederate flag always makes me just think of this: ![](http://mikesdailyjukebox.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/LynyrdSynyrd-logo.jpg) I don't mind logos and images from decades ago... It wasn't such as issue then, and what's done is done. Images like: Lynyrd Skynyrd's artwork and The General Lee from "The Dukes of Hazzard" were never about hateful things like slavery... Documentaries, and Movies, and museums, that have a civil war setting are also fine with me too. That's just referencing history... But, I don't want to see anyone using the "Star And Bars" for modern day purposes... It is just too controversial, and too confrontational to use... If someone insists on flying the flag today, I won't feel bad over any kind of harassment they will receive because of their stupidity.

But how did we go from it being innocuous a few decades ago to it being a problem now? We're moving backwards, and it seems to me that it's because of the PC/SJW crowd trying to make everything about race.

tpfkar And indeed "having to take it" wouldn't fit this scenario. Right, hence the more widespread current protesting, judging of people displaying, getting representatives to remove it from public places, etc. In other words, moving forwards. our American home was clean till you came
