tpfkar And indeed "having to take it" wouldn't fit this scenario. Right, hence the more widespread current protesting, judging of people displaying, getting representatives to remove it from public places, etc. In other words, moving forwards. our American home was clean till you cameIf creating problems counts as moving forward to you.

If creating problems counts as moving forward to you. I'm perfectly ok with addressing problems being your vision of "creating problems". ![](https://s26.postimg.org/gf93ycxax/giveup.gif) our American home was clean till you came

It didn't used to be a problem. That's why "innocuous" is the appropriate word for it during the era in question.

Almost no one looked at it that way during the era in question.

Did you completely forget the context?

Dude, do you not know that these statues were put in place specifically to intimidate black people during the Jim Crow era? Are you saying per the people who commissioned them? The sculptors? What texts are you using that they wrote, or where they were interviewed? And also, what would you say the relevance for others would be re how those individuals thought about them?

Feeble. How about addressing the points/answering the questions? My aim is to teach you something, and that's only going to happen by getting you to use your noggin in a way that you've maybe not used it before.

Upon what would you be basing claims about how people thought about iconography of the Confederacy in the 1970s? Factual history. And what besides pure want are you using to disclaim that some people didn't like it but just had to take it?

And I'm not saying anything about all people but most. What I'm using is the fact that I lived through the era and regularly interacted with a wide variety of people during the era. I'll answer the post in the other thread, but otherwise, sans payment, that's your allotment for the day.

And of course "most" in certain areas felt that way at times, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to run over minorities. And 1) you were just recently rattling on about not trusting what people say about themselves online, and 2) I already pointed out the oblivious and rapacious nature of your posting. And sorry man, I'm not interested in your pedo musings even if they are free. ![](https://s26.postimg.org/gf93ycxax/giveup.gif) our American home was clean till you came
