Wow that is difficult to pick one promo. I'll try. good stuff. just can't envision mean ol' angry and bitter Ole as a face. i mean - even after the Horseman attacked him years later - did anybody feel sorry for him? here's one we talked about in another post. Horseman in the ring at the 'Clash' - Sting gets booted from the group - terrific stuff. link: Horseman Turn on Sting
Terrific stuff. Ole played a 'great enforcer' role here and then Flair is the cherry on top as the 'threatened' psychopath concerned about the 'next big thing' so to speak in wrasslin'

In Georgia championship wrestling around the '83-'84 period he was semi retired but was a face and did commentary more like acting in a promotor on air role. THat was hard for me to swallow listening to him get all self righteous. But a great heel.
That's a great clip you posted. I hadn't watched that since it aired. I remember cheering for that at the time because the horseman as faces I thought was a bunch of crap. I don't remember if I was surprised by it or not. I was getting all the behind the scenes info from the sheets so probably not, but a great angle though.

Flair slaps the spit right out of Sting's face in the end - you've gotta appreciate when two workers just let each other roll because they trust each other. The greatest though is Cornette on commentary at the end as Sting is getting his world turned upside down - 'This the greatest thing I've ever seen in my life!' Great stuff all around. Look at the legends. Sting. Flair, Ole, Arn, Funk, Ross and Cornette on commentary.

Yep that it was. Back then you could still surprise people which was great lol. Though I would think I would be smart enough at the time to see it coming, but either way the Horseman reign supreme as always.

What's hysterical is around or '95 or so - Sting teamed with Flair again - against Arn and maybe Pillman? You could see it coming. Flair turns on him again - it's like 'Come on Stinger - you can't be this dumb'. Only thing more telegraphed in wrestling was back in TNA circa 2010 - Kevin Nash teamed with little jobber dude who has been in NXT (name escapes me right now) - to face off against Hall and Pac at a PPV - needless to say - Big Sexy turned on the lil jobber dude reforming the 800th incarnation of The Wolfpack.

That's kind of the year everybody started getting internet too. Plus things were getting a lot more predictable. Especially since guys were changing back and forth like they changed socks. And all this tweener stuff which made it even less meaningful.

I wanted to pick one that was lesser known. The one I picked got me with the final line. It sold everything about the feud. HBK made the joke about Hogan's famous quote yet implemented his own part into it. I marked out when Shawn said: "Watcha Gonna do, whatcha gonna do with the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels won't lay down for you?!" It was just such a perfect line to end that promo on. The Montreal promo seems to be highlighted by the Bret Hart tease and not per say focused on the Hogan vs HBK feud. Also, this promo just sold HBK as the heel from the start with the make up mirror. Shawn sold it telling everyone that the sweat from their brow paid for Hogans house. Shawn mocked Hogan that much better as the promo went out. This promo furthered my love for HBK because Hogan couldn't take a real promo at himself.

I forgot to post this one from 1978. I love this segment. It really breaks down at the end. Wayne Ferris (Honky tonk man) also gets in the mix.
