Of course I can only speak for me: Because when you have to take down a major boss or whatever like: The boss is just always there whenever it's convenient for you to take him down. It doesn't make sense, like what does the boos do whenever you're not there to take him on? Just sits around and does nothing? It doesn't make sense in modern games that it's always like this at least in games I've seen. Do you know what I even mean? It's like they make a world "for" you. That's what it feels like to me and I "hate" that. Like , do they Have to make all games like that? Do they Have to? Does it really make sense to make games like that still? Is that a satisfying game experience? do you even know what I mean?
If you're not outraged then you are not paying attention.

Wouldn't that be a reason most games suck? Why is Bowser always in his castle?
I can understand wanting variety in games. Play something like Civilaztion where you and your opponents can be in different places.

Modern games suck because of DLC. Fuck that shit. This. For developers /publishers its all about trying to sell season passes, hell most of the time its cut content. Another reason too is the fact that games get rushed out, only to suffer from bugs. Look at Mass Effect: Andromeda and how it turned out for them.

I don't like how they do this DLC thing (or other small micro $$$ transactions) where they basically release the game with cut content and then finish up that cut content later for you to buy separately instead of that being included in the game in the first place like it should have been for the normal game price of $60 or less. sometimes there might be more legitimate DLC that might be worth a little extra $$$ but it just depends on what it is as sometimes they released half-assed stuff for say $10-15 which is a good portion of a games general price without it being roughly equivalent to 20-25% of a single player game etc. so it's like they can do noticeably less work for more $ but it appears 'cheap' because your not paying full game price and are only at about $10-15. even $5 don't sound bad, but when you got 4-5 DLC's at $5 that adds up. like extra content for a game in general is nice but i don't like how they milk the end user of more $$$ because of it as if your paying something like $80+ for a game, that's a tad steep. like some games you can tell they release a bit early, that are pretty much lacking content, and then finish up that content that should have been in the game in the first place, months later and you end up paying more than normal for the completed game. but that stuff aside and about games in general... i think it's just more difficult to impress me with games after you have been playing them for a long time you tend to see the vast majority of games as not worth playing and only a select group that's worth giving a chance especially because they tend to be tied to series you have liked a long time ago. but for the most part it seems games are recycled with the same ol crap with graphics updates here and there and that's about it. with that said you can still find a quality game once in a while but they tend to be fewer and further between. like some old games are still better than most new games as you can see some games are timeless from back in the day that won't ever get outdated as while they might not have fancy graphics that modern games typically do, the overall game holds up overall. Hauntedknight87I completely agree! because you can tell some games they hold stuff back that should have been there in the first place. so they release the game a bit early (i.e. not finished) and then sorta use the public to beta test it and then patch bugs etc while working on the "DLC" to release in the future that you can tell should have been part of the core game in the first place. p.s. or you can say screw em and dodge all of that $$$ DLC BS as long as your not concerned with any multi-player stuff (as it's single player only pretty much) with a FitGirl release as those are the full game intact but only about half of the uncompressed size ; it's amazing how much modern games can be compressed by FitGirl that you can't do normally with typical compression programs (WinRAR/7-Zip etc) as i wonder how they do that as it sounds like BS but it's actually real. only catch is they take quite a bit longer to install but it's much less to download even though once uncompressed (like where the game is useable) it's at it's regular size. for example... GTA 5 is nearly 72.5GB installed but compressed by FitGirl it's only a 37.8GB download. some games even compress better like Hitman... it's only a 21.2GB download and it's uncompressed size(like where you can play the game) is right around 66.9GB which means that compressed to about 1/3rd of it's original size, which is impressive (although on my i3-2120 CPU Hitman takes nearly 3 hours to install(a faster CPU and SSD will lower installation times though)) where as GTA5 was not quite 50% but not far from it.
