with Guillermo Del Toro as the director, replacing James Cameron who was too busy with Avatar sequels. So much weird shit that Del Toro had planned for the last fifteen years and he's doing a remake? I know he's got The Shape of Water soon to be released but come on, man. screenrant.com/fantastic-voyage-remake-guillermo-del-toro-filming/

This has been in production hell for about twenty years now. Just like Rendezvous with Rama, but at least that ISN'T a RETREAD aka REHASH.

This has been in production hell for about twenty years now. Del Toro seems famous for announcing projects that never get done. Would love to see it, though! One of my favorites growing up!

I always thought the original was a little dull and I normally love old sci-fi adventure flicks. Maybe if the remake is set when the original was it might have a kitsch quality to it.
