The self styled socialist who sounds suspiciously similar to Alan Arkin. At the very least, we'll finally know what it's like to have a real one in the WH to fall back on.

Trump ; looks like he's going to be the best president we had at least since Ronald Regan. but to be honest... initially, like for the candidates who hung around for a while, i was leaning towards Rubio or Carson and once they got taken out i switched to Cruz and then once he lost then i backed Trump (in fact, the 2016 presidential election was the first time i voted even though i could have voted since late 1997). but honestly, i am happy Trump got in there at this point because he's not your standard politician and actually wants to get stuff done that he said unlike damn near all other candidates that just tell you what you want to hear to get elected and then it's business as usual. it's like the more the media rebels against Trump the more good he's doing basically as the more they are happy the worse it gets for the common person.
Clinton is hands down the worst choice overall. just reading her you can tell she's more corrupt then the typical politician. thank God she did not get into power.
SIDE NOTE: i would not be surprised if the democrats ensured their loss by basically forcing Clinton to be their candidate with those super-delegates which are only there to help ensure the candidate they want gets into the top spot instead of what the people want as i suspect Bernie Sanders was probably the democrats real choice from a average person democrat perspective. basically that super-delegates thing is rigged (thankfully it's not like that with the republican side of things) as it gives those in power too much control and moves it away from the more common person which i see as a bad thing.

Sidney Poitier We need a true gentleman. Fun Fact: Aaron Sorkin asked Sidney Poitier to play the president on The West Wing. He turned it down.

This is so interesting to me. Would you mind answering a few questions? 1. you don't believe he was saying things people wanted to hear? (knowingly, and having said many of them precisely because he knew people wanted to hear it). Can you pls give me a few examples of things he said and you think it was not what "people wanted to hear"? If that is even possible. But because you are obviously able to pint point that he is not doing what others were, I am sure you could give me some examples. 2. What exactly makes him the best in your eyes? Other than him being different (no experience with public office etc), what are some of the qualities you see in him? Can you be specific please? Is it smarts? Trustworthiness? Effectivity? Hard work? Good character? Good with people? Or ….? 3. "the more media rebel the more good he is doing" - can you give a few examples of his significant or at least verifiable successes as a president? Ideally if you could match it against some of the promises he made during the campaign that would be great. And it would also support your claim that he is different and its not then just "business as usual". Yes, I know you know I not a Trump supporter. But I am honestly trying to understand people that are. And when they say things like you said above, it is very interesting to me as a phenomenon that I would like to understand more. I am not going to try and disprove you or attack you. I just want to know more about why people think what they think. Curiosity I guess.

Write-in: Martin Sheen, but not The Dead Zone Martin Sheen. I definitely wouldn't vote for the real-life Martin Sheen, but I'd probably vote for the fictional Josiah Bartlet!

Donald Trump. As a lukewarm supporter of Trump when he ran and won, I have been pleasantly, sometimes shockingly, surprised at how good he is, despite a media that does nothing but rail against him no matter what.
Bernie Sanders would be a total disaster. Sure, running on giving everyone everything for free is easy (especially if you a young person with not a hint of world experience) but this guy has never really done anything outside of politics. He is a career politician. I don't trust career politicians at all. It's why I don't like Biden. Or Pelosi. They ARE the problem in this country.
