Yep. But once again, that's people falling into the outdated thinking of "Cartoon = kids."

Like I said, they're bad people if they do that. idk about "bad" people, since that's a pretty heavy connotation, but maybe poor parents....yeah.

Being a poor parent doesn't exactly make one a good person, though. Bringing a new life into this world and then nurturing it properly into being a well-adjusted adult is a heavy responsibility. Parents who don't take that responsibility seriously enough should not be parents.

Honestly, I wouldn't call it bad parenting either. I grew up on R-rated movies. Alien, the Thing, Predator, Lost Boys, heck, my dad was the one who showed me Pulp Fiction.
But he did always talk to me about the movies. To discuss the difference between reality and fiction.

A lot of parents don't take that extra mile, though. Your dad obviously knew what you could handle and treated the matter with the weight it warranted.

Watching the MCU, I know you'd love to watch DC to produce a great series, and it must be like being forced to watch the early 2000's Ghost Rider, Batman & Robin, and Green Lantern, and then begging for the Alba Fantastic Four to make it all go away. I'd really really hate that. Oh take my word for it, as a long time DC fan the so-called DCCU is insulting to DCU proper. I must admit that Disney more or less has been fantastic for MARVEL while WB is running DC into the ground.

You're supposed to rabidly defend everything WB/DC does and call the MCU kiddie! You call yourself a DC fan with that sensible attitude?

I just stick to DC's animated projects. They're far superior to the DCEU. I'd take Justice League War over BvS any day. It actually accomplished what BvS was trying to do.

Throne of Atlantis will probably be better than Justice League.

The 90's animated Batman stuff is gold. From what I saw of 'The Killing Joke', story-wise it looked very poor. Man of Steel and BvS are good films, I enjoyed them a lot. But I long for something game-changing like Nolan's Batman trilogy, but sadly I don't think anything will come close. Primarily a DC man, I don't think I can bring myself to criticise any Marvel movie after Suicide Squad. I felt everyone should've got a refund.

As a long time true DC fan I have not and will not ever see any of the so-called DC CU movies, for the reasons I have stated in my 03/21/2017 11:45 am post.

As someone who wanted to give Man of Steel a chance and was dragged to BvS by his friends, I can assure you're missing nothing. Right now, we have a Superman who doesn't even want to be Superman, we have a murdering, psychopathic Batman, and a Wonder Woman who's given up on humanity until she teamed up with Supes and Bats, for some reason. Oh, and the Suicide Squad aren't even bad guys. They're just heroes with troubled histories.

I wanted to like, if not love, Man of Steel. It was a bitter disappointment. The same goes for BvS. I'd rather just watch The Dark Knight Returns.

This is why I maintain that the people who defend the DCEU aren't really DC fans. They're Snyder fans and have never watched or read anything related to the characters before in their lives.

Snyder was the wrong guy to head up the DCEU. He's admitted that he didn't read those comics. He wasn't a fan. And it shows. His style fit fine with 300, not Superman.
