He doesn't have the respect of his company, he left Ku'n Lun and probably doesn't have their respect either, he's not respected by Stick and the chaste despite them supposedly being his army, he's being hunted by the hand, his teammates ganged up on him and beat him up, when he does try to do good and fight for what he thinks is right he gets called out on being privileged. And at the end of it all, he's being portrayed as this bratty kid who doesn't really know what he's doing... when the reality is his teammates don't really know much more of what's going on then he does. But when the others stumble around in the dark it's portrayed as them being human and relatable, when he's the one who doesn't know what he's doing it's shown as him being bratty and stupid.
I'm not saying IF was always right, I'm just saying he felt like he was made into the punching bag of the entire Netflix MCU series. He was not given very many redeeming moments, it's almost like the show wants us to hate Ironfist.

He was not given very many redeeming moments, it's almost like the show wants us to hate Ironfist. They want us to know he is severely traumatized and immature as a result, and he would be. They also want us to know he is naïve about society, and he would be. I think he'll develop greatly in season 2, at which point it will have been extremely cool to watch his growth, and at the same time the maturity will allow him access to his full power. But for now I think they've nailed him.
