... or at least the most redundant in the DEFENDERS.
Danny Rand has his Ironfist, which is the most destructive weapon and AOE attack any of the 4 Defenders have. Plus he's the one the Hand is after and the story kinda revolves around him, and he's the reason all the others get together.
Matt's senses were repeatedly used to great effect in the show, and his previous connections with Stick, Elektra and the hand make him important. Plus the fight with Ironfist indicates that Matt is the most skilled fighter among the 4.
Luke Cage is the group's tank. He's the strongest and most durable and he's useful as a human shield. He's also the most calm and level headed.
But Jessica Jones? She's not as strong or as durable as Luke Cage. She's nowhere near the fighters that Danny and Matt are. She has no real connections to the fight on hand. The most she can say is that she's the detective, but I honestly felt like this aspect of hers wasn't taken full advantage of in the show. They should have highlighted her detective skills more as this is what makes her skillset unique among her team members. I'm also disappointed they didn't show her flying.

She didn't want to be there, you got that right? And I think she might actually be stronger than Luke in the show. The whole point of the elevator catch was that she came through in the end despite not contributing much. That's why she wasn't as influential throughout the series, so that was the entire point.

I agree, which is why I hope they find more use for her in season 2. It's obvious that she was added for diversity.

Actually I disagree, and largely because the entire point of her character arc was for her not to play a big roll until the end. Pointing out that she wasn't a major part seems weird to me, because that was the point. You both seem to be saying it as though it was an oversight or something.

Yes, I know she was the most reluctant member of the team. Yes, I agree that elevator feat was a great feat for her. That still doesn't change the fact that she had the least to contribute to the team and the story in general. I'm not hating on her, I'm simply pointing it out.

It just seems like you're pointing it out as though it wasn't intended or something. Maybe I'm wrong about that though.

I do think the show could have highlighted her detective skills more. I guess. IDK, I was pretty happy with everything that went on. Am I the only one who doesn't watch these things trying to figure out what I would have done differently? As long as it's well presented I just enjoy it, so it's nothing against what you're saying, but I just don't get it. Wasn't it fine how they did it?

I just can't believe Walter White didn't try to save her... Wait, did I watch the right show? Walt was just protecting his family. Also Jesse would have eventually OD'ed if that hot junkie bitch would have lived. At least Walt contemplated saving her but her weak ass choked too quick. JJ was obviously the eye candy though, right? I haven't watched Defenders yet.
