LINKChuck E. Cheese's is reportedly phasing out their singing animatronic band. The restaurant chain has announced that they will be renovating all of their locations across the country. As part of the sleek new design, they will be removing the beloved, and somewhat "creepy," animatronics in attempt to modernize. The robotic characters were once the center of many childhood birthday parties, but today are considered outdated, as many children are now growing up with more advanced media and entertainment. According to a CBS News, CEC Chief Executive Tom Leverton said, "The kids stopped looking at the animatronics years and years ago, and they would wait for the live Chuck E. to come out."

I always preferred the Rockafire Explosion at Showbiz Pizza Place.

Oh wow, I've completely forgotten about them. I remember seeing them when my elementary school friends would have their birthday parties at Chuck E. Cheese back in the 90s. I haven't really been to Chuck e. Cheese since I was 11. I've been noticing that the new commercials featured a completely different Chuck e. Cheese. He looks a lot smaller now than the original one.

Catman knew a guy who actually loved the band.
He died of a heart attack.

There's no reason to go to Chuck E. Cheese now.
Fun Fact: Chuck E. Cheese's full name is Charles Entertainment Cheese.

I remember seeing this music video in 2009 on VH1. The Rockafire Explosion are in it starting at 1:30. I have no idea why.
