A lot of MCU fans would consider 'Guardians of the Galaxy' films as space opera films rather than superhero films. Similarly, 'Thor: Ragnarok' seems to be more like a fantasy film than a superhero film judging from trailers.
What do you think? Do you think 'Thor: Ragnarok' will be more like a superhero film than 'Guardians of the Galaxy' films are? Why or why not?

If they had nothing to do with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I'd place the Thor movies in the realm of science fantasy. Even he explained that magic and science are basically the same where he's from.

Well, I felt like that first two Thor films felt like superhero films to some degree. It's the third one that I'm not too sure about.

I think it'll have more superhero in it than Guardians of the Galaxy did, if you get what I'm saying.

Yeah sure it is.
Isn't Captain America Winter Soldier a superhero movie? Even though it's largely an action thriller.
Spider-man is largely an action/drama/romance movie.
There's all manner of different superhero movies everything from Blade to Superman to Guardians of the Galaxy to The Dark Knight.
Thor Ragnarok would be a superhero movie and a Sci-Fi/Fantasy movie.

The Guardians aren't really superheroes, though, are they? Thor actually goes to other realms stopping wars. The Guardians are mercs that get into situations that has them save people.

You'd know this if you did any research. But I've long known you need to be spoonfed everything. The MCU is simply for people who aren't disgusted by comics and go for that sell-out "grounded", self-important way of doing things.

that is some bad acting (and writing). I find him generally underwhelming, not just as Thor. He is even wooden in my favorite racing film Rush. To be fair, in the Ghostbusters reboot he was surprisingly funny, more so than the professional comedians. And I haven't seen some of his more serious films, if any.

I don't know what this is. I gave up with part two. I'd say a poor man's Norse Mythology and Space Opera.
Speaking of which, I feel Ragnarok will brutally violate and defile the source material. Pretty sure the mythological Twilight of the Gods (Ragnarok) here will not consist in the slaughter of the gods and end of the world.
MCU is ashamed of the source material they exploit. I trust you will still be here to answer me then, buster!

No worse than what WW does with Greek Mythology. actually a LOT worse, WW did not dive into ancient Greek mythology that much. But hell MCU Valhalla is depicted as a pipe organ in paradise with spaceships flying around, and there are not even Valkyries or dead heroes (THE very purpose of Valhalla!!!) but Robin Hoods and Samuraj warriors and...
....ah, frack it! So they are both ashamed of their source materials and must be rebooted! MCU better be re-rebooted to fully spill away the bad aftertaste.
