No worse than what WW does with Greek Mythology. actually a LOT worse, WW did not dive into ancient Greek mythology that much. But hell MCU Valhalla is depicted as a pipe organ in paradise with spaceships flying around, and there are not even Valkyries or dead heroes (THE very purpose of Valhalla!!!) but Robin Hoods and Samuraj warriors and...
....ah, frack it! So they are both ashamed of their source materials and must be rebooted! MCU better be re-rebooted to fully spill away the bad aftertaste.
And when WW goes further into Greek mythology and shows differences on par with what Thor has done, you'll eat it up. The whole "Mythological Gods were really aliens and our myths aren't fully in line with them" thing is in Star Trek and Stargate, no one complains there.

And pointig at me crying tu quoque is not an argument. Let's see how I react if it happens, but I'm pretty sure they won't touch Greek mythology further, and what we saw was ok-ish, the Amazonians did not fly spaceships or fight laser battles in WW1, lol.
Pointing at other franchises is not a valid argument either. But for fun lets stray away:
- Stargate is a good comparision. It is undisputedly lowbrow sci-fi trash and not ashamed of admitting it. Lol, they had the Norse Gods be grey Rosswell aliens, that's so bad its funny again. A lot of people complain what utter trash and how stupid this show is, never met a fan who will deny that (iz dumb fun!).
- Star Trek had such things only in very few TOS-episodes ("who mourns for Adonais" ). Even as a ST fan I have trouble remembering another one amnong hundreds. Regardless, none with mythological gods is considered a classic.

In the comics, the Amazons DO have advanced tech like the Asgardians (not as much, but plenty more than normal civilization) so there goes THAT argument. Bottom line is, both those series have done this plot. Heck, scifi is loaded with this. Going after Thor while blatantly ignoring all those others is hypocrisy. And Stargate isn't trash, it's just not pretentious. And yes, I'm sure that the DCEU will touch Greek Mythology further and not have it line up. They already did so by saying Ares killed all the other Gods.
