It's like an alternate Universe, films and TV in which sometimes inaccuracy makes for better stories.
FLESH+BLOOD has great characters, but some very poor science, such as the attack in which the gang (to me they're the good guys, though I think technically, they're the villains) take over a castle.
JAMES BOND type films in which piranha and quicksand are deadlier than Science allows.
Those movies with Earth burrowing vehicles getting to the Earth's core. Almost all of them have some of the best writing as far as characters go (UNKNOWN WORLD, JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH)
All those low budget outer space films, mostly from before 1970.
The best OK Corral movies (MY DARLING CLEMENTINE, GUNFIGHT AT THE OK CORRAL) can't even come close to the correct casualties at the corral.
