If you mean any president no matter what country than Charles de Gaulle
If you are just talking about US presidents than Franklin D. Roosevelt

Ronald Reagan. He was an economic powerhouse and he was able to bring the Soviet Union to its (eventual) knees.
He was also just a great guy.

Abraham Lincoln. Yes for all the cliched reasons. More importantly though, and this gets pushed to the side too often, Lincoln demonstrated the capacity and more importantly the willingness for growth as a leader. He was not born as nor was he forged in clay by God as the Great Emancipator and the savior of the Union, all that jazz, but he became that over time. He adapted and although obviously he initiated sweeping social and political changes, he was realistic and pragmatic when he had to be. That sort of thinking is almost entirely gone in American politics.

Dwight D. Eisenhower. Can't explain why, but I guess it's because he's so damn retro, and I'm into retro. I guess I like him for the same reason I like the Atari 2600 and disco music.

Eisenhower is a good choice...I also own a working Atari 1200XL with about a dozen game cartridges...
Dwight also warned us all about the burgeoning military industrial complex...
