www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000834786/article/patriots-wr-julian-edelman-tears-acl-out-for-seasonMan...what a massive blow. Id love to see just once, everyone healthy. Gronk, Edelman, and the newly acquired Cooks....but man nope, can never have them all healthy at once. They still got pieces and lets be real if any team can handle an injury, it's NE. That's how they are, still it blows to lose dependable WR in a meaningless preseason game. Gronk better stay healthy and Cooks is gonna need to step up, theyll be okay, but if people did their fantasy teams and got Edelman, that's a blow.

This is why I hate the preseason, it's totally meaningless and gets players injured, but it makes money for the owners so they won't eliminate it. But fuck the preseason, it does no good. It sucks to see great players go down in meaningless games.
This really hurts the Pats, but they are great at making adjustments and getting the best out of the players they have, Belichick always has them prepared and they still have lots of talented receivers for Brady to throw to. But the loss of Edelman is huge, and they don't have a clear cut starter at RB either with the loss of Blount.

This happens every year with them and every year they either win the Super Bowl or get to the Super Bowl. Not sure why this year is any different. They haven't had a stud running back since who, Corey Dillon? They'll plug some guy in at WR off the street and he'll be the second coming of Jerry Rice. They'll be fine.

And you seem to think the Patriots are the only team that gets preseason injuries. Remember when the Rams lost their starting QB Trent Green in preseason? Or when the Cowboys lost their starting QB in preseason last year? Lost of teams have lost key starters to injury in preseason, but you come here and whine and cry only when it happens to the Patriots. You're clearly a Patriots fan who doesn't want to admit that you root for a team of cheaters like the Patriots.

They'll just grab some scrap heap next week when last cuts are made and they'll plug him into the 'system' and he'll probably turn into an All-Pro

Just underlining again the insanity of four preseason games. It will take an absolute superstar or two being done for the season before the owners willingly cut it back to two - if even then.

Jesus christ you ever shut up. IM a football fan, I believe in,"if you wanna be the champ, beat the champ." I want the champ at full force, not,"Yay we beat them but they didnt have __, and ___, and ____ but we won!" Hollow bs is that. WTF have the Rams done, Cowboys, and how do you know, we never talked before until now jack@$$. You guys did so wonderful with Romo, lol. Edelman is a proven guy. Trent Green....LOL. I reported what happened, why do you fear NE at full strength, you think your cowgirls are going to the superbowl to meet them, What, scared to see all Bradys weapons? Everyone knows Im a Houston fan, youre a Dallas fan and never lived in Dallas dude. One of those band wagon riding fans, congrats. Dont get mad at me. Edelman got hurt on the field, your boy Zeke cant stop tripping over his own feet. He is like the NFL's version of the UFC's Jon Jones. Could be great, but is a massive f*ck up. Worry about your own team, 6 games no Zeke. He avg 5.1 yard per carry. Rest of your guys? 3.5 YPC. Better worry about your own team. I know you love Brady, but I was curious how Cooks/Edelman/Gronk would look, as IM A FOOTBALL FAN.

IM a football fan, I believe in,"if you wanna be the champ, beat the champ." I want the champ at full force, not,"Yay we beat them but they didnt have __, and ___, and ____ but we won!" Hollow bs is that. When Seattle lost Super Bowl 49, 3/4 of their starting defensive backfield was playing with major injuries and also cornerback Jeremy Lane was injured before halftime and couldn't play in the 2nd half. Yet I didn't see you saying that Seattle wasn't at full force for that Super Bowl. Such hypocrisy! Football is a team game. If 1 guy gets injured, another guy is supposed to replace him. Only pathetic losers use injuries as an excuse. Emmitt Smith had an injured shoulder and could only hold the ball with 1 arm when the Cowboys played in Super Bowl XXVIII, but the Cowboys didn't make any excuses for injuries like you're doing with the Patriots. The Cowboys just played with what they had and won that Super Bowl by 17 points. Waaa, waaa, waaa! The poor Patriots can't win because Edelman got injured. Waaa, waaa, waaa! All I hear are a bunch of pathetic excuses. You seem to think that the Patriots are the only team that ever has any injuries. Just look at how many teams had injuries to their starting QBs last season: Cowboys, Packers, Raiders, Steelers, Vikings, just to name a few. And this season, the Dolphins have already lost their starting QB to an injury. Everyone knows Im a Houston fan And yet, you're always the 1st one to make excuses for the Patriots when they have an injury. Only a Patriots fan would be so quick to make injury excuses for the Patriots like you do.

How would you know? A lot of them still played, it is different have career injuries and being banged up.
So what's Dallas's excuse for being p!ss poor? Guys had homefield advantage, and like Im sure everyone told you, theyd be one and done. What happened to GB...Atlanta had to do what you guys couldnt. Im not "making" excuses, Im js Id love to see how theyd look at full force. Dont worry, theyll be fine, see, how they work, one guy goes, another one steps up. How much everyone wanna bet, youre gonna cry,"Well if Zeke wasnt suspended..." be prepared folks, it's a coming.
NE will probably be in the super bowl (My Texans just are offensively challenged) but your 'Boys wont, and Brady will surpass your entire fn history.
Waaaa waaa, it isnt fair, Brady alone tied my Dallas Cowgirls alone, by myself. LOL, dude, youre captain crying. Dont you got another DC thread Wonder Woman bs thing to make?
And someone also reported the Miami Dolphins QB was injured. Welcome to sports chat, where we discuss the news and current things that are happening!
They will be fine without Edelman, that's how they roll. I just wanted to see them at full force, Im an actual fan. Dont worry, someone will just slide in and take his place. It's the NE way.

Kind of surprised people still respond to an exposed liar and fraud like Anne Hathaway fan. Anyway yeah I'm bummed about Edelman, probably my second favorite Patriot of all time. I think the team will be alright without him, it just sucks to see guys lose entire seasons of their career with injuries, especially when it happens in a preseason game.

I want the champ at full force I sure don't. My first thought as a Dolphins fan was, "Just Edelman? Can't we get rid of half of the team, including Brady, somehow?" I just want to win. I couldn't care less if we're winning just because everyone else sucks or is crippled for some reason.

Take my thumbs up, I have to respect someone who is flat out honest. I mean...I get so much from out of state folks,"9-7 Texans....yea, youre killing it in that division!" Our division is bad, tbh, I think the Dolphins could have done damage in our division.

As someone who's had a serious knee injury I wouldn't wish it on anyone, and as a sports fan I hate seeing guys' careers in jeopardy over an injury, whether I'm a fan of the team/player or not.

I feel bad for people getting injured, regardless of what team they're on, but I feel bad for them personally. In terms of them being inable to play for competing teams, I'm happy. For example, I felt bad that Bryce Harper had that recent leg injury--I felt bad for Harper personally, but I couldn't be happier that his services won't be available to the Washington Nationals.

I couldn't care less if we're winning just because everyone else sucks or is crippled for some reason. Agreed. It's only whiny Patriots fans that are complaining. Injuries are part of the game. The Rams won Super Bowl XXIV after their starting QB went out with an injury in pre-season. The Broncos won Super Bowl 50 after their starting QB miss 6 games with an injury. Lots of teams have played (and won championships) with injuries to key players. But whiny Patriots fans always seem to think that they're the only team that ever has key injuries.
And the "We want them to be at full force" line is just more BS by whiny Patriots fans.
When the Celtics beat the Lakers in the 2008 NBA Finals, they didn't say "We wish Andrew Bynum wasn't injured so we could play the Lakers at full strength."
When the Warriors beat the Cavs in the 2015 NBA Finals, they didn't say "We wish Kyrie Irving didn't get injured in Game 1 so we could play the Cavs at full strength."
When the Cavs beat the Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals, they didn't say "We wish Andrew Bogut didn't miss the last 2 games with an injury so we could play the Warriors at full strength."
When the Warriors beat the Spurs in the 2017 Western Conference Finals, they didn't say "We wish Kawahi Leonard didn't get injured in Game 1 so we could play the Spurs at full strength."
It your players aren't ready to play, don't cry and whine and make excuses about injuries and not being at full strength like shadyvsesham likes to make excuses for the Patriots.

I guess when your team has been so bad for so long, some fans get real bitter ... and desperate. It's a sad thing to see. truely ... I might even shed a tear. ... or not.

Dont get it twisted, Terrapin was honest. Youre just a whiner. Make excuses, Im not even a NE fan, but what excuse? Brady has as many rings as your entire franchise (A band wagon fan who never lived in Dallas, and has no idea what Hurricane has done to our state. Yea, keep riding that bandwagon.) Everyone here knows Im a Texan fan,but it sucks not being able to see what Gronk/Cooks/Edelman can do. Injuries do happen, but it blows when it happens in a meaningless preseason game. Id feel the same about any player, hell I felt bad when Romo went down (How many playoff games did he win again...lol. Hey, Dak is 0-1 in the playoffs). No excuse, if I had to bet, NE will probably be in the super bowl. Brady is there, Gronk is (For now), Cooks now will have to step it up. Even if NE flops.....5 rings. Umm are you mental, yea, some Lakers fans said,"if we had Bynum." I know LA fans, sorry, wrong. LMAO YES, Skip Bayless alone has said,"If Draymond didnt get suspended and Bogut didnt go down, Cavs dont win their championship. LMAO, and youre wrong on the Spurs. Skip again has a nickname for the guy who put Leonard down (Cheap shot). Youre wrong on every example. (I live in Texas btw, I have friends in SA. They all said, if Leonard didnt go down, we take game 1 and we got a chance at beating GSW. See I actually live here. Houston has been water crushed by Harvey.....and no, Im not talking DC comics. "What did Harvey Dent do to Houston, herp derp). Boston even said,"We never lost when in full strength, after Perkins went down. Do you even pay attention to sports? I swear....Ray is right, and if i stop responding to you, you got nada. Every example you made is fn wrong, insanely wrong, Im literally laughing how wrong you are. Dont worry.....soon Dalas goes 3-3 or 2-4 and we will hear,"Well in preseason Zeke averaged 5.1 YPC and the others only 3.5...if Zeke wasnt NFLs version of the UFCs Jon Jones...we'd be okay!) How can someone be wrong so often?

Even if NE flops.....5 rings. At least 4 by cheating. You're so dumb you still don't realize that sayig NE has 5 rings is as meaningless as saying Lance Armstrong won 7 Tour de France races. Nope, I'm right. This is what I wrote: "the "We want them to be at full force" line is just more BS by whiny Patriots fans.
When the Cavs beat the Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals, they didn't say "We wish Andrew Bogut didn't miss the last 2 games with an injury so we could play the Warriors at full strength."
When the Warriors beat the Spurs in the 2017 Western Conference Finals, they didn't say "We wish Kawahi Leonard didn't get injured in Game 1 so we could play the Spurs at full strength."So I CHALLENGE YOU TO PROVE THAT I'M WRONG BY PROVIDING EVIDENCE WHERE THE CAVS SAID "We wish Andrew Bogut didn't miss the last 2 games with an injury so we could play the Warriors at full strength." OR PROVIDING EVIDENCE WHERE THE WARRIORS SAID "We wish Kawahi Leonard didn't get injured in Game 1 so we could play the Spurs at full strength."
IF YOU CAN'T PROVIDE THE EVIDENCE, THEN ADMIT THAT I'M RIGHT AND YOU'RE JUST A WHINY BITCH OF A PATRIOTS FAN.
