Here is Cloris Leachman in 1940. She was about to turn 14 in a few days. It's from a Des Moines newspaper. Aged 16 back in 1942.

Love these! Cloris is now 91 and still going strong. Amazing woman! And here she was in 1955's Kiss Me Deadly:

Here are a couple of pictures of Rhonda Fleming at age 15. They were published in Iowan newspapers back in 1939. This was six years before her first significant role in a Hollywood film. In the last one, she is the girl highest up wearing a hat and white clothes.

Ever wondered what Edna Garrett (a.k.a. Charlotte Rae) looked like in her youth? Well, here she is at age 20. This photo was published back in 1946.

And Rae turned 91 in April. Amazing how good they looked then and how well they've aged. Same with Cloris Leachman, also from Iowa. (Iowa seems to be a fertile crescent for talent.) Thank you, Spiderwort. Just to clarify, Rhonda Fleming was (despite what the third pic would suggest) actually born and raised in Los Angeles, California. The reason she was in Iowa in 1939 was because she was a participant in Jesse L. Lasky's radio competition called Gateway to Hollywood.

Below are several pictures of the late Noel Neill during her youth in the 1920s & 1930s. They're mainly from Minnesotan newspapers, who took a great interest in Noel's acting performances as a child. She would grow up to become famous for her portrayal of Lois Lane in the film serial Superman in the late 40s and early 50s. 5 years old in 1926. The one-act play was called The Sick Act. 8 years old in 1929. She is the girl in the middle of the photo. 10 years old in 1931. 13 years old in 1933. 15 years old in 1936.

Here is a picture of 7-year-old Jane Powell. It was published in a Californian newspaper back in 1936. Her film debut would come 8 years later. With June Lockhart being the daughter of Hollywood actors Gene & Kathleen Lockhart, it's no wonder she got her own career started at an early age. In the following photos from 1933-1934, she appeared in a production called Peter Ibbetson. Note that the other people are not her family! June was 8 years old at the time, and would eventually go on to have a long and successful career. A while back, I posted a picture from Marsha Hunt's childhood in her birthday thread. Here is another one, although I'm not entirely sure of the exact date. Probably between the mid-1920s and the early 1930s.
