I consider it to be the 2nd Best "DRACULA" Movie ever made.
What about everyone else ?

It is easily the best Dracula ever made; it is the masterpiece of Coppola's career, with perhaps the most enthralling atmosphere a movie has ever generated. Truly spectacular movie, and people's deep objections to some of the acting does not phase me one bit.

It could have been good, but it's just a huge mess with miscast surfer dude Keanu and a nutty werewolf sex scene that descends into self parody. "Dracula"(1979) with Frank Langella will always be the best.

It's one of the most visually stunning movies I've seen (without CGi so I heard). It remains a fairly interesting example of gothic horror. It's certainly entertaining but I never really loved it as much as others have. The definitive Dracula for me is always going to be Bela Lugosi in the 1931 adaptation overall.

I wouldn't call it a masterpiece. It is quite good though.

I want to make sure I'm getting this right.. You're saying this is better than the Godfather parts 1 and 2, Apocalypse Now, the Conversation etc.?

Terrible. The best version remains the BBC 1977 one with Louis Jourdan--a shame that a) they didnt shoot it on film and b) couldnt get Christopher Lee to come back one more time.
The 1992 film is standard Hollywood revisionism--can't have Dracula the foreigner as a bad guy--no he has to be the misunderstood good guy who is victimized by Christianity and English society. Oldman is very amusing though. And Sadie Frost chews up the scenery.
PS
Keanu Reeves accent is terrible.

Absolutely, yes, for me it is. While those movies are all high quality filmmaking, Dracula drew me in much more.

Well, while I hated it very much when I first saw it, I have come around to enjoying a lot of it, now many years later, cinematography and the technical stuff anyway. But there are some things about it that I still cant get around. peace, brother

It was the first Dracula movie I ever saw. That would have been circa the late 1990s. Gary Oldman is good in it - that's about all I remember. Oh, and the crappy early 90s CGI.

not sure i'd agree that it's the best Dracula picture (definitely not if we are counting Nosferatu) but it's a fine picture. it's kind of weird to see Oldman upstage basically the entire rest of the cast to such a degree but that doesn't detract much from the film.
