It was obviously a very low budget, could have been done on 1% of what most people here consider a low budget film.
An apocalyptic film based on more credible circumstances than most. Only one "extreme" factor, that of a man who had a clone made by his father.
It begins with a blond man and woman, both very natural, he has a beard, living sort of like hippies, avoiding human predators in the forest. They meet an ex soldier who shaves every day, and the three unite as a group wanting to live in a civilized way.
It turns out someone is stalking them, and for some reason the soldier realizes it's a clone of the blond guy. It appears that the guy's father cloned him.
A very interesting drama develops as they try to ward off human thugs out to kill them.
It impressed me for its very low budget look while still keeping to a good story. But I don't know the title. I believe it was a cast of unknown people, but I am not sure.

Year or decade? Color or b&w? From which nation was this made?

Don't know the year. Had a late seventies underground feel to it, and almost surely U.S. Even looked like central Eastern area, Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Tennessee look to the woods, but could have been further East.
Probably in color, I'm sure.

Still don't know the movie. Very low budget. The three main characters were in a forest, looked a bit like Middle American forest around the Ohio Valley, and bad guys kept attacking them. Somehow, they figured out the married man with the beard had a scientist father who cloned his son, so a duplicate of him was also in the woods.

I remember the attackers weren't in elaborate garb. They looked like guys in street clothes if I remember correctly.

How many are in the movie?

So it's a cast of like 3 people but there's bad guys chasing them? How many are in the movie? It's very low budget looking, but well executed. Only three actors with speaking roles. The father is never seen, if I remember correctly. And the clone of the hippie guy is the same actor. In a scuffle scene with each other (I think there is one), there's no reason why a stand in couldn't be used. The attackers either have no lines, or just say little attack lines. I don't remember. I can't remember them speaking any lines. They just attack, and the soldier is the one who defends the hippie couple. The climax is where you wonder if the clone is going to take the place of the hippie guy. It has a 1970s look to it, but feels like it was made by a low budget 1980s team. It was one of those films that was based on story and characters more than special effects. In fact, I don't think there was anything even remotely resembling a special effect.

Thank you. That indeed seems to be the film. It was a very good film, and had a Twilight Zone episode feel to it, but with an even lower budget. I don't know why Toasted Cheese has a problem with "credible characters in incredible circumstances". He would hate the old Twilight Zone series. I certainly would rather watch this film than most of these stupid modern day travesties that look more like pinball arcade games or Las Vegas slot rooms, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
