24 minutes long, but quick and to the point and intelligently discussed, YouTube filmmaker and comic lover Patrick H. Willems and friend Connor Goldsmith discuss where the X-Men films can go here and out and what changes they should make, keep in mind this is on the general X-Men films, not the fringe titles like Logan or Deadpool or the TV side with Legion and The Gifted...And what timing to upload the video, considering the recent news that Dark Phoenix will downplay the intergalactic stuff to be, yes, "somewhat grounded" LinkThoughts?

And what timing to upload the video, considering the recent news that Dark Phoenix will downplay the intergalactic stuff to be, yes, "somewhat grounded"LinkThoughts? Fuck Fox. Fuck the cowardly creative team behind the X-Men films. Those are my thoughts. Good God, people, Guardians of the Galaxy has shown not just once, but TWICE that there's a big audience for fun space adventures! Get in on that action! Break out of your mopey shell and do something fun for a change!

Because the Shi'ar showing up and X-Men going to space didn't happen until the last issue.

Just a puddle on the ground instead of an actual pregnancy. I criticism relates to the fact that all the X-Men films HAVE been on Earth and its time for Fox to get ballsy and send them into space.

They are not downplaying it at all. Re-read the original Dark Phoenix Saga. The space only happened in the final issue. Most of it focused on the Hellfire Club corrupting Jean on earth.

So more of the same from the previous X-Men films. How boring. Knew they would never have the guts to take them into space.

Wrong again, Hand Job. Swing and miss. You are benched, bitch. There's no way the film will get the Hellfire Club right, by the way.

They didn't get them right 3 main movies ago. And that friends is why you don't just make movies when it is going to be a series. Plan it out. Don't just throw The Hellfire Club at the screen, and then kill them off, knowing you are going to redo the DPS at some point.

Yet for some reason these idiot FoX-Men fans seem to think the very idea of preplanning is a sin against nature.

And you can't be like that other studio no matter what.

How did the divide in the fandom between MCU fans and FoX-Men fans even happen? FoX-Men fans disliked that the MCU made movies that weren't "grounded" or ashamed of the source material the way their movies were. They disliked the variety.

And didn't just focus on the "bad boy" character. I love how whenever I bring that Captain America would be getting the same treatment as Cyclops did in a Fox-run MCU, these FoX-Men fans never reply or address the point.
