When you buy a pint-sized container of ice cream, are you able to restrain yourself from eating the whole thing in one sitting? It's my biggest challenge w/ ice cream. I have to use every ounce of self-control I've got not to devour the whole container. I always try to limit myself to less than half if possible. lol
I don't buy ice cream very often at all though. I know my weak spots. lol

lol I just ate a whole pint last night. I have no self control Ice cream seriously goes to my gut (I mean the *exterior* portion! lol) if I'm not careful. Best way for me to control overeating of ice cream it is to not buy it. lol

I have no idea how much pint size refers to in USA. I buy 1 litre tub of ice-cream and eat about 6 times from it. But frequently I use ice cream to make milkshakes or thickshakes instead of eating and when I do that I use 1 litre of ice cream tub to make myself milkshakes on 5 different occasions.

"I have no idea how much pint size refers to in USA." (A quart, here, is .95 litres. There are 2 pints per quart. So, a pint is close to 1/2 litre.)
I probably get 3 servings from a pint container. It's not a matter of control, though. Ice cream is too rich for me to eat more than that. Also ... I like caramel/chocolate toppings.

Depends on the flavor. If it has caramel or dulce de leche (not the same thing), then I seriously have to leave it in the store's freezer. I've gotten the regular-sized jars of Talenti Sea Salt Caramel gelato, & scarfed the whole thing as a day's lunch & dinner. I know my limits as well, which is why I've had to cut out a lot of things from my diet, because my doctor told me that I'm pre-diabetic w/ high cholesterol. The day after she told me that, I signed on to My Fitness Pal's app & lost over thirty pounds. I'm in a bit of a plateau right now (Thanksgiving & Christmas really screwed me up), but I'm still using the app.

Yes. I get Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Therapy, don't let it melt, and typically have half a serving, so I can make it last 8 days.

I prefer buying a pint of ice cream. It seems bigger.

A pint would last me at least 4 servings, however a big chocolate bar wouldn't last me 5 minutes.

I never really thought of a pint as being all that much. It would never occur to me to not eat the whole thing in one sitting. Anything less than a pint is just a tease.

I was exactly the same way some years back... but then a few years ago I noticed that ice cream can really help me put on the weight if I'm not careful with the serving portion size. So that's why I look at pints differently now. And like I mentioned above, I rarely buy the stuff any more.

I haven't done it in like 6 months. Generally after a night of drinking. Tremendous amounts of calories that's kinda why I stopped. And those Ben and Jerry's forget it. They put chunks and chunks of crap in those. That packs way too much of a punch.

Not good if you're trying to watch your waistline. lol I used to get this Belgian Chocolate ice cream made by Godiva Chocolates. It was so good it should've been outlawed. lol

I recently tried the new low cal Halo Top-not bad. But I ate the whole pint. My favorite was this cinnamon ice cream that a mom & pop's shop used to make from scratch. This was decades ago about a 1/4 mile from UWM(Madison) stadium. We would tailgate for the games, then walk to get this ice cream. Mind you it usually was about 0 degrees when we would do this. But it was well worth it. The scoops were huge too.
