no but she's top bitch, and that is bad enough. She makes daily and artistic hiring decision, she's like the director (company or film) who of course answers to the board and/or shareholders. But in the end it's the most powerful executive decision-making position in the company, far away from a scapegoat. She isn't even that. In the chain of command, she would have to answer to Bob Iger. I can see her having to answer to Jayne Parker most of the time since Bob is probably too busy to oversee Kennedy from day to day. Bob would then answer to the board/shareholders.

Maybe Kathleen Kennedy secretly wishes to direct herself, may be the reason we see her make everyone leave. Why not give her a chance?
Or at least Patty Jenkins, she looks like Kennedy, and her Wonder Woman turned out pretty decent.

I would love Jenkins to direct sadly it looks like she will (likely) direct wonder woman 2 and that would overlap with episode 9.

Mat Reeves obviously. As fallback I will accept: - Ryan Johnson (if he prevails with Ep8), - Brad Bird - Ron Howard or even good old Georg if he remains assistant director. Those who say J.J. Abrams, James Gunn, BarkingBaphomed or M Bay are just trolls who hate Star Wars and should burn in Star Wars hell. Reeves would be too busy for Batman films.

And don't name anyone that won't take order from Queen Kennedy This guy is the obvious choice! I could see Waylon Smithers following Kay Kay around like he was on a leash, rubbing Kasdan's feet, and being a bigger butt-kissing, corporate yes man than JJ. It just might work.

Reeves is the one I would trust to create another Empire or Sith - dark, slightly boring in a good sense, but relevant and unforgettable.

We don't need 'Episode 9' to be like that...

Even in view of the risk that we "might" get a serious masterwork with Ep8, I'd still be fine if we finally end up having two of them.

on the Jedi Council Forums (the leading SW forums) Johnson is currently leading with over 50%. Makes sense, even though we do not know how his SW will be. But him being in charge for 8 and 9 will lend a bit authorship to this (so far redundant) ST. Btw our favorite hack JJ Abrams lies very far behind at 5%, even behind such choices as G Lucas (13%). This is how the Force works JJ!
