I don't think Humphrey Bogart was that good of an actor. That opinion would definitely make you unpopular among classic film fans.

Any Oscar won in the last 30 years is completely meaningless.

- I am never impressed by Marlon Brando's performances. I also don't have a positive opinions on him as a person because he raped girl on filming. - I like Seth Rogen and James Franco. - Vanessa Hudgens is an excellent actress and deserves more works and dark roles. - Matthew McConaughey is the greatest actor of the decade, in my opinion. - Katey Sagal is one of the best TV actresses. Her performances from Married with Children and Sons of Anarchy are totally different. She rocked in SoA and gave one of the best badass TV characters. I don't think 3 of those are very unpopular opinions, especially Katy Segal.

I saw the unpopular Movie opinion thread and I wanted to start a specific thread about Actors/Actresses. 1. Kevin Hart isn't funny. 2. Sylvester Stallone is underrated an deserved an Oscar for "Rocky" "First Blood" and "Creed" he was typecast as an action star. He's unfairly lumped with Arnold. 3. Tom Hanks is a better actor (range) than Daniel Day Lewis. Whats yours? Stallone has never been a very good actor in action movies but he is good in dramas.
Arnold is actually a much better action movie actor and also a much better comedy actor too imo.

Ida Lupino was a brilliant actress and deserves more recognition. Claude Rains was in my opinion the greatest character actor of all time.

I don't think Humphrey Bogart was that good of an actor. That opinion would definitely make you unpopular among classic film fans. I think he's a generational actor. People alive in that era or people with old souls who can relate to that era "get" what he's doing. So in a sense, I get that unpopular opinion.

The Supporting categories in the Oscars are more interesting than the Leads. Robin Williams was over-rated especially as a dramatic actor. Penelope Cruz is one of the most beautiful women in the world. Sly Stallone's nomination for Creed was an attempt to get him an Oscar. Mark Rylance's performance in Bridge of Spies was rightly awarded the Oscar. Today's mysteries and thrillers may have to be set in the past, technology has ruined a lot of plot devices.

Hahaha. I just remembered my most unpopular opinion.
Dustin Hoffman's performance in Rain Man is the most over-hyped in the history of celluloid. Almost anyone could have done that role.

Fact: Charlize Theron is the most popular African born actor/actress working in Hollywood.
Opinion: Nicholas Cage is a very good actor.

I have no idea what opinions about actors\actresses are unpopular. But here is an opinion that may or may not be unpopular i really have no idea Out of Amy Adams 5 Oscar nominations ( 4 for best supporting and 1 for best actress ) she should have won 3. I can see that. I'm not trying to bring race into this discussion, but Viola Davis is getting so much love at the Oscars due to #OscarsSoWhite movement. The Academy is trying to pacify them, and because of that she beat Amy Adams out. One scene with Meryl fucking Streep in the movie Doubt- that was Davis's first Oscar nomination. Well before #OscarSoWhite occurred. If you haven't seen the movie Doubt, the whole seven minutes of the scene is on YouTube. Amy Adams probably had her best role as a lead in Arrival last year, but she didn't get nominated.
