I saw the unpopular Movie opinion thread and I wanted to start a specific thread about Actors/Actresses.
1. Kevin Hart isn't funny.
2. Sylvester Stallone is underrated an deserved an Oscar for "Rocky" "First Blood" and "Creed" he was typecast as an action star. He's unfairly lumped with Arnold.
3. Tom Hanks is a better actor (range) than Daniel Day Lewis.
Whats yours?

Courtney Love is a great actress
Chuck Norris is not even good on an ironic level
Jason Statham in SPY is one of the best comedic performances in recent years
Nic Cage is always watchable, but never crap
Penelope Cruz reminds me of a duck

- I am never impressed by Marlon Brando's performances. I also don't have a positive opinions on him as a person because he raped girl on filming.
- I like Seth Rogen and James Franco.
- Vanessa Hudgens is an excellent actress and deserves more works and dark roles.
- Matthew McConaughey is the greatest actor of the decade, in my opinion.
- Katey Sagal is one of the best TV actresses. Her performances from Married with Children and Sons of Anarchy are totally different. She rocked in SoA and gave one of the best badass TV characters.

Jim Carrey was never funny. Robin Williams was vastly overrated. Stallone can be an excellent actor with the right material.

He is capable of great some great stuff - First Blood, Rocky, Cop Land...but any typecasting has a lot to do with him and his choices, and considering some of the stuff he's made he should count himself lucky to be lumped in with Arnie in the 80's.

I have no idea what opinions about actors\actresses are unpopular. But here is an opinion that may or may not be unpopular i really have no idea
Out of Amy Adams 5 Oscar nominations ( 4 for best supporting and 1 for best actress ) she should have won 3.

I can see that. I'm not trying to bring race into this discussion, but Viola Davis is getting so much love at the Oscars due to #OscarsSoWhite movement. The Academy is trying to pacify them, and because of that she beat Amy Adams out.

Portman's performance in Jackie is objectively more phenomenal than Emma Stone's in La La Land

When I say lumped in with Arnie, I don't mean that as a bad thing. What I mean is Arnie is JUST an Action star. He's not capable of acting in a drama such as Cop Land or Rocky and pull it off as well as Stallone. What I mean is people assume Stallone is nothing but an Action star like Arnie, when he is capable of so much more.

The only time they've been considered in the same category was when they were both nominated for Doubt 9 years ago, and they both lost. They might have both been up for Lead last year, but Viola was shoved into Supporting for Fences because blacks have it so great that only one black woman has won for Lead in 89 years, and Amy was still snubbed. Either way, I have to ask if you even saw Fences because Viola was incredible in it. Maybe you're confusing it with Hidden Figures, in which case I would have agreed it was a "token" nominee.

-I like Leo, but he's an Oscar beggar. Every role he takes has to be historical and involve screaming, crying, and accents. Lighten up.
-Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will be Blood was a fine performance, but greatest performance ever? It's not even my favorite performance that year. Casey Affleck should have beaten him for Robert Ford. A lot of it was an impression of John Huston in Chinatown.
-Jack Nicholson straight up sucked as the Joker. Too old and fat, and he just played "Jack Nicholson".
-Dalton is one of my favorite Bond's. Moore one of my least favorite. (unpopular depending on the circle. I almost got jumped by some 70s kids for saying that)

I doubt Meryl Streep is worthy of every single Oscar nomination she has gotten. I mean it feels like some of them, like last year's in particular, are a knee-jerk reaction each time she releases a movie.
Jack Nicholson can do more than just "be Jack". Just look at The Pledge, Blood and Wine, The Crossing Guard, About Schmidt, Hoffa, etc.
I also agree that Stallone can do good work when given a good script and director. Just look at Nighthawks and even Assassins.

1) I never really liked Jim Carrey or Woody Allen.
2) Beauty and charm aside, Angelina Jolie's a surprisingly average actress.
3) I didn't think Jake Lloyd was any more worse than any other child actor in The Phantom Menace.

I don't think Humphrey Bogart was that good of an actor.
Felicity Jones is a brilliant actress
Julia Sawalha is one of the most underrated actresses alive.
again i have no idea if what i write are unpopular opinions
