He was in The Tin Drum 1979, The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum 1975, Fassbinders Lola 1981. In Hollywood he made Sam Peckinpah''s Major Dundee 1965 His persona is, never trust him!

I remember him as the butler in TEN LITTLE INDIANS in the middle 1960s, having a dinnertime punchout with guest Hugh O'Brian.

I was so delighted when Fabian got knocked off early. He totally lacked any charm -- unlike the delightful Mischa Auer in the original version.

BATouttaheck Think that version was available on youtube once, not sure today I was just bein' silly about Fabian. Actually that is one of the few movies on the 's list that I have seen and I do recognize the butler. Christie stories are always fun and there seem to be multiple versions of so many of them.

Ten little Indian boys went out to dine;
One choked his little self and then there were nine.
Nine little Indian boys sat up very late;
One overslept himself and then there were eight.
Eight little Indian boys traveling in Devon;
One said he’d stay there and then there were seven.
Seven little Indian boys chopping up sticks;
One chopped himself in halves and then there were six.
Six little Indian boys playing with a hive;
A bumblebee stung one and then there were five.
Five little Indian boys going in for law,
One got in Chancery and then there were four.
Four little Indian boys going out to sea;
and so on

teleadmI confess I had never heard of Mr. Adorf but I shall be looking for him now that I have seen and read about him. Character actors are so incredibly important to films, especially the ones who are more than mere "props".
