Ricky Nelson did this song first, but in my opinion, my late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal is who owns it! His copy has way more of a drive to it!

I find BeBe's covers rather nice. I think her cover of Yumi Arai's Contrail is almost better than the original.

You all know the tune "I Go to Pieces" by Peter & Gordon? It was written by Del Shannon. Peter & Gordon's version was released late in 1964 (UK). Del released his own on the album, "One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-One Seconds With Del Shannon." That album was released in July, 1965 but I don't think his own version was released as a single.
Anyway, I prefer Del's version, and the main reason being is he sounds so heartbroken hence the song's subject. One of these days, and I ain't kiddin' either, I'm going to shed some tears.
