Most...Hearts in Atlantis. I still keep it at my number 1 favorite book. Ive read it completely through twice and sections of it on occasion. I love it.
Least...Roadwork. Hated the main character so much that I just wound up hating the entire story. I normally love the Bachman stories but this one just stunk for me.

Most The Shining or The Stand
Least Tommyknockers or From a Buick 8. Sadly the latter King years have several weak books so it was hard to decide which were the crappiest. Although it was not in the latter part of his career, Tommyknockers was the first SK book I read that made me realize he was capable of writing garbage.
I also would recommend heavily Danse Macabre and On Writing. Since both are non fiction they may get overlooked by some King fans. That would be a mistake since both are compelling reads on subjects near and dear to SK and (IMO) any fan of King.

You are correct sir. He actually has said he doesn't remember writing Tommyknockers which was during the worst of his alcohol and drug fueled period. He goes into a lot of that in On Writing. One thing has always stuck with me about that period for him. King says he would get several cases of beer daily and when he was ready to go to sleep he would open every remaining beer and pour it down the sink. Otherwise he would get out of bed and go finish drinking the remaining beers.
