Big Spielberg fan up until the millennium, now he's hit or miss for me. I've never seen Munich and have heard good/bad about it. Just wanted to get a consensus here to see whether or not it's worth a Netflix.

It's quite well done, but not what you'd call a real uplifting movie.

7.5/10 from me. A fine political thriller but a bit preachy.

6/10. It's very well acted and there's some haunting imagery. But for me, the plot did drag in some parts.

No, it's a droning waste of time. By far Spielberg's worst film.

Meh, I hate when movies based on true events make up too much crap.

It's worth seeing. What I didn't get was the French-Algerians support though

Jaws is my favorite, which is also in a back-and-forth with Casablanca as my overall favorite movie. Other faves: Raiders of the Lost ArkEmpire of the SunJurassic ParkLeast faves: Hook AI

No, it's a droning waste of time. By far Spielberg's worst film. No way. War of the Worlds was worse.

Thanks for everyone's input...knowing most of your tastes and how they compare to mine, I'll give it a go and see how I like it.

Spielberg's last great film, I'd say. Don't agree with the people calling it dull. I saw it when I was 14 and it held my attention.

Yes ; I think Munich (2005) (8-8.5/10) is Spielberg's #1 movie.
1.Munich (2005) - 8-8.5/10 (which makes it not much outside of my Top 26 movies. or within my Top 60 movies at the very least. but being it's a strong 8 in score that means it's not much outside of my Top 26 movies which probably means Top 30 something movies.) 2.War of the Worlds (2005) - 7.5-8/10 (within my Top 108 movies) 3.The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) - 6.5-7/10 (within my Top 196 movies)
after those three Spielberg is nothing special in my mind.
p.s. I have seen Munich multiple times over the years with my most recent re-watch being on Nov 15th 2016. just since i have been keeping a log of all movies i have seen, which is Dec 27th 2011 to date, i have re-watched Munich three times... Jan 25th 2012/Feb 25th 2014/Nov 15th 2016. my best estimate if how many times i have seen that in total, i would guess roughly 6 times as Jan 6th 2006 was it's official release in the theaters which probably means i first seen it back around mid-2006 (basically around the time it was out on video) for the first time and it's not a stretch to say i have probably re-watched it 1 or 2 times between then and before Dec 27th 2011 which is why i figure 5-6 is likely the minimum amount of times i have seen it even though i suspect even if i am underestimating how many times i have seen it i would still guess it's likely less than 10 times. but as a general guideline for me... any movies i score a 7/10 or higher (which is currently 196 movies) i try to re-watch at least once every few years or so.
