Toss up between Jerry Maguire, Born on the Fourth of July, and A Few Good Men.

Collateral
It's actually a shame how little of his filmography I have much affection for.

Definitely in my top 2 or 3 all-time favorite Cruise movies. I had a hard time choosing between that and Rain Man.

Vanilla Sky
While I also enjoy the original "Abre Los Ojos," Cruise seemed born to play the part of David in "Vanilla Sky." I like especially that the plot points occur in a way that doesn't make any rational sense to his character...so he has to play confused, infuriated, enraged...all stuff he's good at.
He delivers a very special F-bomb during one of his last sex scenes in "Vanilla Sky." It's one that sort of symbolizes his acknowledgement that he has no idea what reality actually is. Pulls it off perfectly.
Liked him in "War of the Worlds" as well.

1. Interview With The Vampire - I read the books long before the movie was made. I couldn't imagine Cruise as Lestat, but he managed to do well. 2. Vanilla Sky 3. The Last Samurai 4. Jerry Maguire 5. A Few Good Men

Hmm, difficult question. It makes me realize I'm not that fond of Tom Cruise movies.
