HM: Days of Thunder/Minority Report. both 6-6.5/10's.
He's got the best overall filmography of anyone out there and he's also got the highest volume of movies i score a 7 or higher to of anyone i am aware of as even quality name actors generally don't have more than around half of the volume of 7/10's and higher from me that Cruise does.

Collateral, Minority Report, Magnolia, Rain Man, Born on the Fourth of July, Top Gun, the entire MI franchise... so many. Him and Leonardo DiCaprio can do no wrong IMO.
If you don't like Tom Cruise then I submit that you have an unrealistic bias against him based on things other than the actual movies (maybe you don't like his scientology, or you don't like how he's "up" and smiling all the time, or you just don't like his face, whatever...) but its not his acting or his movies. He's done way too many good movies and had enough good performances to have won any un-biased person over by now. He's flopped in both cases too, but hasn't everyone?
If you can watch Magnolia, Collateral, Born on the Fourth of July, Jerry Maguire, The Last Samurai, and Tropic Thunder, and not see how versatile he can be when he applies himself then I don't know what will convince you.
