I'm not sure what think but with
Guardians around 860 Spiderman close to 900 and WW behind at 800
I have to think the major positive vibe behind Ragnorak will get it to around 850? It has JL coming right behind it, which may steal some, but we know BVS only made in the 860 range, and nothing about JL so far seems to indicate it will do much better so it's hard to say.
What do you guys think?

I'd guess between $750-800 million.

Dr. Strange did 680.
If that's the case I would think Thor finally returning for the first time since AOU would bring in a little more than 700, but what do you think about that?

I'd guess between $750-800 million. That's probably a fair estimate.
I'm really looking forward to the discussion about which film hurt the other more between Ragnorak and JL. Not which film did better, but this is one of the only true head to heads we've had in a long time.
Here's a question. Let's say Thor gets in the 750-800 range. We all expect JL to make more, but where is the line where people will say if it makes less than that it's sort of embarrassing that it didn't do all that much better than Thor, and if it makes more than that it was much as expected above Thor.

I guess Thor does get women viewers and Hulk is a draw card. Thor 2 did make more than I thought as well. It's just that people I know won't see it. They saw Spider-Man Homecoming and Dr Strange but wont bother with Thor 3.

Well don't make the "people I know" mistake. I see a lot of people do that in movies, politics, etc, and think because their circle of friends don't like something then somehow that means everybody else feels the same way. I mean people I know didn't go see BVS and that did 850, so these things happen. I don't know anybody that saw Avatar either.
I didn't mean to go on a rant there, but I'm just saying, objectively speaking I would think it has to do significantly better than the first ever Dr. Strange film, given that it's generated a lot of hype and interest in the new direction. If your friends didn't like the first two, they are the perfect people to go and see it, because it's in many ways made for people who have wanted something different with that franchise.

I still think it will be in the 850-900 mln region. SMH numbers. JL wont hurt it. That movies looks awful.
