Ever thought his novel was inspired by Phantasm? i mean both deal with town disappearings and murders and Pennywise/IT is obviously much similar to tallman in aspects you know as both are shapeshifting reality warping creature beings from another dimension.

It does seem to make a whole lot of sense to me with these similar connections as well . IMPO - I really don't know this for sure but perhaps it also was the case of one writer / director inspiring the other . Of course if it were I wouldn't see anything wrong with that either it's awesome to see good writers and directors come up with these intriguing storylines ( as the old saying goes - " Great minds think alike " ) . Not really...but Phantasm elements do show up in the Dark Tower books. The wolves fight with silver balls much like the ones from the movie...if I remember correctly...in the 5th novel.
