So some websites on the internet are making a bit of a thing over the lack of attention the movie seems to be getting. Like how the Teaser and Trailer for Justice League has been trailing the equivalent Teaser and Trailer for Batman vs Superman.
That Thor Ragnarok got more Trailer views. That Spider-man Homecoming has been "trouncing it" on social media.
I also checked Google Trends and Justice League does actually trailer Batman vs Superman at the same point from release.
I myself would say that I've seen less hype for Justice League than Batman vs Superman. It might be because that movie was built up over almost 3 years but every little bit of new information and any images were posted on all these big sites and I just don't see as much news for Justice League.
It would kinda make sense what with people not really liking Batman vs Superman that this one would suffer but mainly I think it's the lack of Superman in the marketing that's hurting it. How are you gonna make and promote a Justice League movie and not have Superman in any of the trailers or posters.
It's weird, it doesn't seem right at all seeing the Justice League on the poster and Superman isn't there.

Maybe? I know that I'm not as hyped up for Justice League as I was for BVS. But I still plan on seeing it in theaters! Hopefully it doesn't disappoint!

I would say so. For those reasons and based off the odd developments that were announced in the past couple months by WB/DCEU.

It has significantly less hype, and deservedly so considering the monumental disappointment that was BvS. Bitten once, twice shy.

It has A LOT less hype. The general public didn't like BvS, so they're going to be cautious about its direct sequel.

I mean this sincerely, but comic fans and DC Fans overvalue how much people care about DC characters. They use the word "iconic" to describe them when what they mean is "recognizable".
Currently, what has happened is that DC/WB has crippled the current versions with the poor films they've made so far to the point very few will have any hype for anything else coming up. They have squandered the first meetings of these characters and consequently the buildup to JL. It will never be as big as it could and perhaps should have been because of it. And if it's still a mess, or even only slightly better, it just won't offer redemption either.

If the Justice League trailer I saw last night is any indication, it's going to be a dumpster fire of the first magnitude.

Yeah I think most of its potential was wasted with them rushing to get to this point.
Considering that Batman vs Superman already had all the members of the Justice League in it then this doesn't really stand out as much as it does.

It has A LOT less hype. The general public didn't like BvS, so they're going to be cautious about its direct sequel. This is just another attempt by scared MCU fans to try to derail the DCEU. Before Wonder Woman was released, MCU fans spread the rumors that WB wasn't marketing Wonder Woman much because they knew Wonder Woman was "a complete mess".

No, we're just trying to save innocent moviegoers from making a big mistake, . People can decide for themselves whether they want to see the movie or not. They don't need guys like you, who try to speak for them.

If BvS were even a passable movie, this would be more hyped. It wasn't and this isn't. Pretty simple, really.

WW was a complete mess. It got easy handling by the critics because it was made by a woman and heroes a woman. Otherwise it would have been labelled as a below average superhero movie. WW is flawed beyond believe.

You would think the critical and financial success of Wonder Woman would play a major role in the Justice League marketing to bring more hype, but I'm just not seeing it.

I just read a Forbes article which stated that WB is apparently in such good shape this year that even if Justice League underperformed at the box office, it's only be "an inconvenience" rather than what Sony faces well every year it seems now. And assuming that doesn't happen (knock on wood) and the total amounts to what is expected, I would then guess that WB are simply taking it easy with the marketing.

Man of Steel got mixed reviews. I actually liked it. It was not terrible though. Many did enjoy it, even with its flaws. Also, Cavill looked the part. Therefore, there was a lot of hype for BvS. The hype is WAY less for Justice League mostly because BvS was terrible.
