England could lose this.

Your lips to God's ears Carl, but I doubt it.

Thanks to BazBall™ we know that a draw is highly unlikely. England could easily lose, NZ would have to bowl well for a win, and the idea of a tie is actually salivating. Harry Bradman Brook and Ben Arsey Prick Stokes are the key players…..

Pope really struggling here after Robinson went early. Looks a good batting deck though. I'd be backing an England win 5 or 6 down.

England go to lunch at 5-168. Stokes hampered by a leg injury. Henry went off for NZ with back issues but came back on about 20 minutes prior to lunch.

Stokes and Root both get sucked in by Wagner. England 7-202. Surely NZ's day now...

LOL. Looks like Ben Foakes is going to carry England across the line for the victory I predicted. Exciting game.

Oh my God, Foakes is out for 35 with 7 runs still needed. New Zealand are back in the game!

Black Caps win !
By 1 run !
Almost jagged a tie. I’m still holding out hope of seeing a Test match tie.
4th time a side has won after following on too….

Joe Root the Villain! Ran out Brook with a terrible call and then fell premeditating an awful pull shot.
Glad that England enforced, not just because it was a close game but because it would have been a boring game otherwise. Take not ICC and take this one off the captains.

James Anderson has not hit the winning runs in a Test in 179 appearances for England
Useless git!

The dramatic final hour - how you reacted
Despite the time in the UK ticking past 3am, there were still plenty of you staying up to watch the drama unfold thousands of miles away at the Basin Reserve in Wellington.
Dyf in Somerset: Test. Match. Cricket. Is. THE. Best. Thanks England for rescuing it! #Bazball
Mike, Hastings: It's 3.00 in the morning and I can feel my adrenaline pumping!
Mark: Win or lose, this is absolutely riveting. I can't ever remember being up at 2:30am on a work night glued to a Test!
Michael in Amsterdam: Should have been asleep hours ago, but Test match cricket at this level is too good to miss.
Suhel Ahmed: Enthralling Test match at Basin Reserve thanks to Ben Stokes enforcing the follow-on. Without it, this match would have been over two days ago as a contest. Instead we have a classic on our hands.
Katie in Oxford: McCullum and Stokes' England are truly a "live by the sword and die by the sword" team and it is incredibly entertaining and incredibly stressful to watch. I'm loving it.

It's a good morning to bat at Centurion, and Temba has won the toss. Watching this on South Africa's financially embattled National Broadcaster SABC3, rather than the usual Sports channels. It's quite an experience watching it on the SABC with its motley crew of commentators - who include former cricketers like Garnett Kruger, Alviro Peterson and one or two others - I presume; too early to tell. It also includes the likes of veteran broadcaster Zolani Bongco and the one and only Udo Carelse. What they lack in silky verbal skills and pristine speaking tones they make up for in passion, patriotism and entertainment value. It's mostly in English, but there are many moments in Xhosa too - and a smattering of Afrikaans. Also, the National Broadcaster finally went digital a few months backs, so it's in HD now. It's a new look team under newly appointed coach Shukri Conrad and new captain Bavuma. Aiden Markram is back at the top of the order, and Tony de Zorzi, Senuran Muthusamy and Gerald Coetzee make their debuts. Say what you like about Conrad, but he has a vision for the team and he is going to do things his way. Elgar and Markram looking untroubled, have put on 25 after 8 and a bit overs. Oops, Elgar has been dropped off Mayers, a fairly easy chance. Dean is going to make them pay for that. Way he sees it, it's now his day.
